Sunder

General Discussion (Prerelease)

I was just glancing at the combat maneuvers, and I noticed that sunder says you can use it on held or worn items.

I seem to recall that you could only use it on held items in 3.5, and I was just curious if this means you could literally strip someone of equipment with sunder after sunder? Can you sunder worn armor now? Amulets? Gloves?

Liberty's Edge

OMG!!! Stop hacking at all this poor defenseless LOOT, you Barbarian !!!

Somehow I think most party treasure piles can withstand the loss of a few (un)holy symbols, and spell component pouches ;)

Sovereign Court

Well no, 3.5 sunder always allowed for that kind of thing.

The real change between 3.5 and the Pathfinder RPG that I'm seeing is the removal of a limitation on what kind of weapons you can sunder with.

3.5 you need to use either a slashing or bludgeoning weapon, the Pathfinder Beta has no such restriction I see.

Very interesting... thanks!
