Has Iomedae been written up in a Pathfinder AP?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

If so which one, I own all the pathfinder APs but have only read 1-5 and don't know if Iomedae was given a glance at like cayden caliden, zon kuthon, and desna (i've read those three AP god descriptions) If she has can someone tell me which pathfinder and if not can someone describe her to me, I have a player who took a level of Favored Soul and I want to have Iomedae appear to him in a dream but I have no idea what she looks like and the wiki didn't have a very lot to say about her.

Not yet. The APs have given us so far:

RoRL = Desna and Lamashtu
CoCT = Abadar and Zon-Kuthon
SD = Calistria and Cayden Cailean
LoF = Sarenrae and coming in #5 Rovagug

I'm guessing we'll get Asmodeus in CoT.

However, there is a picture and two page write up of each of the gods in Gods and Magic ... and if you're just after the physical look, the Icon that Montalve uses is Iomedae.

Here's the little description from Gods and Magic: "Iomedae’s avatar is a majestic woman in white and gold, fully armored, and carrying a shield and longsword; the light from her shield blinds all evil, and the force of her aura causes the corrupt to weaken and collapse."

The picture shows her also wearing a flowing red cape.

Hope that helps!

Iomedae and Asmodeus are scheduled to have articles during Council of Thieves. We haven't decided which goes first, but I suspect Iomedae will be in Pathfinder #26 and Asmodeus in Pathfinder #29.

Sovereign Court

Thanks for the quick responses guys, you all rock! So I'm glad to here god write ups will continue, I was totally worried with the release of gods and magic, that the APs would stop doing them.

here we have a mortal with good taste, even if weird color

I agree

Weird color?

And Paizo generally hits home runs with goddesses.

We always do new art for the deities when we run their articles in Pathfinder.

Ya' but I like the fact that made her just ...majestic! The pic of her in Gods&Magic is my favorite one of all of the deities. And the stance is perfect in that you see warrior first beautiful goddess second.

Well, home run might be stretching it with Calistria, beehive hair should be stuck in the past. Period. That and I have a hard time associating bees with lust. But that's just, like, my opinion... man.

Wasps. The imagery is that they can sting and sting and sting.

Plus, she's also goddess of trickery and revenge. And wasps. Being chaotic, she doesn't like to be forced into one stereotype I guess.

Oh I know what the imagery is all about. I just don't see anything sexually appealing about bee's, wasps, of beehive hair. Nothing, nada, in fact it kind of has the opposite effect of enticing. Granted I've ranted about this before it's the one needle in my shoe when it comes to the Golarion Pathfinder. A goddess of trickery? Sure! Vengeance? You betcha! Scorned lovers? Indubitably. Lust? Bee's? The color yellow in general? Nah. It just doesn't click with me is all, I see no correlation, everything else is fantastic but who knows, maybe it has to do with my hatred of the color yellow or something. Or the fact that beehive hair is hideous. Don't know.

The picture is great. I had her hair recolored red and used her as Mayaheine for the paladin in my Savage Tide campaign. :)

Just to double verify this, yes, as I wrote the art order for this two weeks back. And yes, the article will be in #26. Same type of article, same range of art, and - ugh - same author. :P

Did Sarah Palin teach you nothing, Devil of Roses?

Second that! The best female plate armor design I ever saw! Feminin, serious, sexy, full-cover, with a little magic for fitting the curves just right! Bravo!

Even though there's yellow involved, she's not Bart Simpson. She doesn't always wear the same clothes.

I do agree that the G&M picture doesn't touch on the lust aspect, and is nothing at all like the text says she's usually presented (and I think the article in SD should have had such a picture), but for me, the wasp part isn't necessarily a deal-breaker.

But for the record: Her hair-do in G&M is hot. If she wasn't frowning like that, she could be quite seductive.

Who says that it has anything to do with you, if you knew anything about bees you'd know what sl*ts they are, always fornicating with the flowers. "Oh look at the pretty bees flying from flower to flower" my daughter says "AVERT YOUR EYES FROM SUCH PERVERSION!" I scream in order to protect her from such dirty fornication.

*cof cof* actually, someone took it form my head :P

Iomedae looks pretty close to how I have described my cleric Jordan Fenix :P

of course I based her on the Hellgate: London's Female Paladine... there are some great images of her on the web :D

They're known for it. There's the infamous "bees and flowers" talk. "Going at it like bees". "The Bee's Knees".

Oh...I love knees...wait a minute -- what?!

FYI, the Iomedae art from Gods and Magic was shown on one of our blog posts, here she is:

Sarah Palin? The woman running my state while flying off to TV interviews and special interest dinners (don't get me wrong, some of the special interests are indeed noble) all the time? Meh, I voted for Halcro, a pity his loss in the gubernatorial race sent him on a downward spiral, he spanked her (figuratively you naughty gamers) in their debate. No, Palin has taught me nothing, she's merely shown me further reason to dislike all things politics and love the creative and opportunistic genius of Larry Flint. Now if his Sarah Palin had beehive hair I might be alright with that hairstyle, though chances are I wouldn't be looking at it.

Well, I heard absolutely nothing you said...just want to be sure we're talking about the hot chick, right? ;)

Jessica Alba is hot, Larry Flints Sarah Palin is hot, Rhona Mitra is sultry AND hot, Sarah Palin is attractive... for a politician.

I think I know what you're doing wrong...are you forgetting to mute the TV when she comes on?

When will the electronics manufacturers learn and put in an automatic "mute the annoying hottie" button?

Maybe I'm just weird and have a hard time considering her a hottie rather than moderately attractive... Alas I cannot mute the TV. I work in PCR at one of the damn local news stations. I'm forced to listen to EVERYTHING... though admittedly I'm able to block out some of the stuff.

Everything... Oh God I think I'd shoot myself...or the TVs.

So after all the work I went into it turns out that I got Iomedae mixed up with Irori.

So lets start the questions from the begining suplementing Irori's name for all instances of Iomedae.

Well, he's not my type (which starts with him being a he), but I can see him being popular with the ladies. He knows stuff.

doesn't go against him being perfect and autosufficient?

Here's the description of Irori from Gods and Magic:

"Irori has achieved perfection and sees no need to cloak himself in mystery or augment himself with divine power, so, when he appears, his avatar is a physically fit man, looking exactly as his followers describe him, often sitting or kneeling patiently."

The picture they show is a man, clean-shaven except for a very long queue (braid) that falls over his right shoulder. He is wearing sandals on his feet, loose gi-type pants and a simple wrapped cord (?) around his waist as a belt. Thin oriental style scrolls with runes float and about him, almost snake-like. He looks serene, eyes closed and hands palm-to-palm in front of him ...

Hope that helps :)

Self-sufficient doesn't mean he likes to listen to "the sound of one hand clapping".
