One of the things that that has always buged me is could a spellcaster be able to make a golem and apply the intelligent item rules to beef up the golem.
I do realize that there is a spell created to awaken a golem, but I was wondering if other GMs have asked the question before/or faced with this delema.
One one hand, for the DM, it could be a really cool NPC/encounter, but it could really screw with the CR.
On the other hand, maybe more trouble than its worth.
