I was intrigued by one of the other threads mentioning a sword-and-planet style game that Erik Mona mentioned before. I think it would be a great idea. But what would everyone look for in that style of pen and paper RPG? Any ideas or suggestions for a Planet Stories RPG?

Was there something limiting about develop ideas in that thread? We're talking about supporting Erik's interest in Pathfinder S&P RPG there.
Perhaps you're branching off with your idea?
Sturmvogel, I think that this is something for consideration. It's just a little too perfect that Paizo owns the Planet Stories name and can draw on a rich and growing collection of literature to plug into their established game system. They can even write it in a fairly generic way that would allow spacification of Golarion's solar system, play in an alternative version of our own solar system, etc. This would draw on both sets of resources in Paizo's possession, while not tying down the players to any particular setting (there can be a desert planet, a sea planet, and so forth in whatever universe.) If only there were some mad, anal retentive genius who could latch on to such an idea...
Not to mention, it's got the own P brand thing going for it.
Pax--I'm pretty sure Sturmvogel is just wanting to branch out from his post towards the bottom of that thread's first page to ponder this particular suggestion.
I suppose I didn't need to create a new thread for this. You guys seemed to have a pretty good discussion going on. I wasn't trying to hijack your discussion, just creating a venue to discuss some ideas for a Planet Stories setting, one with closer ties and background to the original stories than inspiration drawn from them.
