Oops! Forgot about the surprise round.
Marcus spies the kobolds near the bushes ahead and makes a slight gesture towards them. "Look alive, gentlemen," he warns. A crystalline sphere speeds towards the hiding creatures and shatters into a hundred tiny, radiant blades. "We are besieged."
Grasping Shards attack; Target L-17, area burst 1 (affects Kobolds D2 and D3); Attack Roll vs Fortitude D2 Grasping Shards Attack Roll (1d20+4=10) and D3 Grasping Shards Attack Roll 2 (1d20+4=21); 4 Radiant Damage on Hit and the target is slowed until the end of my next turn.
DM Nixon
To be clear, we are currently in a surprise round so anyone that is able to act in it you can take either one standard, one move, or one minor. Getting off your mount is a standard action unfortunately.
1.24 Chorro - Can Act
1.20 Karn - Can Act
1.17 Kobold Wyrmpriest - Can Act
1.12 Dran
1.09 Kobold Skirmisher - Can Act
1.05 Kobold Dragonshields - Can Act
1.05 Marcus - Can Act
1.02 Aglaeca
1.01 Sturdy - Can Act
So if Chorro and Karn will decide on their one actions I'll move forward with the kobolds.
DM Nixon
The kobolds move from out of the brush and take combat positions in the road and to your right. They seem to be surprised with the amount of you that are present.
Assuming Marcus follows suit, we'll move into the first real round of combat, Chorro is up.

Chorro's silent plea draws Snow from the spirit world. Two rapid swats of his paws announce his arrival, as he hopes to catch the closest pair of Kobolds unaware and vulnerable.
Settling into a low crouch, the massive cat is a force to be reckoned with, his deep-throated snarl rumbling across the moors.
Minor: Call Spirit Companion (J15). Minor: Grab Totem. Standard: Twin Spirits (vs Reflex) (D3: 10, 11 damage if it hits.)(D2: 23, 9 damage.) Enemies adjacent to Snow grant CA for melee attacks until EoMNT.
Note that if the kobolds leave a square adjacent to Snow w/o shifting, Snow can use Spirit's Fangs as an opportunity action (+5 to hit, 1d10+5 damage). Feel free to roll this if necessary.
DM Nixon
The kobolds rapidly turn as snow appears behind them and they are able to weave out of the way of his ferocious clawing.

doh! that is my mistake I thought the first two sets were your attacks and the second the damage. I'll correct it. sorry about that. Its been a long day so far haha.
Upon missing the first kobold, Snow is not about to let it happen again and in a flurry attacks the second one standing next to him. Who is quite oblivious to the attack until wounded.

Uh, Marcus already made his action for the surprise round. Grasping Shards attack, which means one of the kobolds might have taken damage and is slowed. Now I'm just waiting for my turn and a few minor corrections.

Taking a step to the north, Karn lets one of his daggers fly as he Sly Flourishes the nearest kobold.
Karn will move to G,10 then throw his dagger at D1, using Sly Flourish as he does. You can find the rolls in my previous post, though the sneak attack damage won't apply I think.
DM Nixon
The dagger that Karn launches outward manages to stab right into the kobold's armor and it sticks out of its shoulder. Seeing one of his allies in trouble the kobold wearing robes in the back of the fight launches an orb of green light towards Karn in retaliation.
Energy Orb Vs. Reflex (1d20+6=18) The orb lands in the center of Karns armor and spills out acid that burns him for a moment.

Dran Cutthral
Standard Action- Dismount, Move- 3E 1N ending in G14, Minor Action- Cloud of Darkness
Dran quickly dismounts and draws his sword and shield and moves to engage the kobolds in melee but just before he attacks, the dark elf mutters a single arcanic word and a black cloud eminates seemingly from out of no where
DM Nixon
Skirmisher:
As the dark cloud descends upon the kobolds they begin to panic. The first, the skirmisher runs out of the cloud in what it had hoped to be the right direction. The moment the creature steps out of the smoke it is presented with a question as he looks up at a very tall being. It jabs with its spear but is unable to pull his coordination together enough to hit what would seemingly be an easy target.
He provokes an OA from Dran from his movement
Attack on sturdy, miss. 1d20+6=10
Dragonshield 1:
The other kobold keeps itself together a little bit better in the circumstance, he shifts quickly as the cloud approaches and moves forward towards Karn while swinging its sword.
Dragonshield 2 and 3:
Across the battlefield, the other two lizard creatures bound away from Snow as quickly as possible. They shift themselves cautiously from the beast and then flee around a pile of boulders in an attempt to get behind the party.

Marcus, surprised by the quickness of the small creatures, unleashes a torrent of radiant energy to injure the enemies and bolster his allies.
Standard Action: Blades of Astral Fire; Target I-8, Burst 1; Attack rolls vs D2 and D3 (in order)Blades of Astral Fire (1d20+4=20, 1d20+4=22); Damage on hit Radiant Damage (1d6+4=5, 1d6+4=10); Marcus and Aglaeca gain +3 bonus to AC until the end of Marcus' next turn.
DM Nixon
Heh, yeah I'm very sorry about the absence this past weekend. Family stuff and the like.
From the sky appear gleaming blades that stab down towards the two creatures nearest Marcus. As they find their way through the armor that the kobold wear the sword hilts break off and seem to wrap light around Aglaeca and Marcus in protection.

Shift one square north to H11, Thorn Strike against D1.
1d20+8=22 vs D1 AC, 1d10+5=14 damage and pull D1 to G11, then call Nature's Wrath marking all adjacent enemies (D1 & K). D1 and K get a -2 to attack anyone else and I will also make an immediate interrupt or immediate reaction also if they do.
DM Nixon
OA on Aglaeca (1d20+7=25)
Damage (1d6+3=4)
Aglaeca:
Upon seeing hellish flames burst around his friend the kobold closest to Aglaeca takes a swing at him with his longsword and inflicts a minor wound. The attempt to help his friend backfires as Aglaeca's pain only further inflicts sorrow on the poor creature.
Hellish Rebuke Add. Damage (1d6+3=6)
Not too far away, Sturdy manages to keep two other creatures at bay as he calls upon the earth to aid him and his companions. The vines wrap tightly around the kobold pulling him closer to Sturdy and all the while jabbing into his skin.

Alright, I wasn't going to say anything before, but now it's getting ridiculous. It has been over a week since a player took his own turn and we're waiting again. I've held my tongue long enough.
The game feels like it is on the verge of failure, which is a real shame. I like some of the character dynamics involved in the party and the intrigues growing from their interactions. I also really enjoy the detail of the maps that DM Nixon has been providing for the game... it sure beats an Excel spreadsheet any day. The game has continually moved forward (when it moves) and there is much left to do; we've barely begun to scrape the surface of our adventures.
Now I know real life gets in the way, and I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular. But all it takes is 10-15 minutes to log in and check on the posts. If a person can't do that at least every other day, then what is the point? Everyone else extends a courtesy by waiting patiently for one player to make his move, but after a reasonable amount of time has passed, it is time to move on.
I removed myself out of another game because they were posting much faster than I could keep up, and because I wanted to focus more on this particular game. I hate to think that I stepped out of the wrong game, but this was my game by choice. I hate to see this game fall apart, but it's much worse to see it floundering like this. It shouldn't take us over a week to finish one round of combat.
Let's either pick this up, or call it a day. If you don't want to be here, then just do the honorable thing and say so. It will be a courtesy to those who still want to play in this campaign.
Dran Cutthral
Dran, still in the cover of his dark cloud, takes a step to the SW and flanks the kobold and calls upon the power of his sword as the fighter attacks with sure strike. As his attack ends the cloud dissapates
Attack (1d20+10=30)
Damage (1d10+2=7)
Minus 1 hp from sword

I very much appreciate the honesty here. I will say that on my part since its my first time dming a pbp I have been a bit nervous about coming off like a jerk or pushy by taking turns in 24 periods. hoping to myself that the player will hop in and I do let it go on for too long. this is a learning experience for me and I have big plans for the future of this game. I would like to really start pushing a 24 hour time limit for posts. I hope that we can keep this going and everyone will allow me to continue dming here.

Skirmisher's Turn:
The kobold looks over his shoulder towards one of his other reptilian friends and shifts back to join him in battle. As he does this he tries to stab Dran but is only able to push off his armor to help himself shift away. The moment that he finds safety he notices the goliath narrowly miss an attack on him, he yelps very, very loudly.
Warden's Fury VS Fort (1d20+8=9)
Dragonshield Turns
Moments after the goliath swings at a nearby kobold he feels a sharp sting in his left side, turning he notices that another kobold has stabbed him with his dagger while looking very frightened.
D1 Vs. Sturdy' AC (1d20+8=19)
Sturdy's Damage (1d6+3=5)
Across the battlefield two other foot soldiers are squaring off with the very intimidating tiefling. The first is either distracted by the tail or he's purposely doing his best to cut at it and is able to cut a pretty good gash into it.
The Other Kobold nearby leaps forward and slashes at Marcus but misses him by a pretty good size gap.

Marcus dodges the kobold's wild swing, then takes a step back and away from the manic creature. "Fear not, scaly one," he speaks calmly, though he is unaware if the kobold can understand his words. "The lord of battles will look favorably upon your valor, even as you die now." With a quick gesture and a sacred word, Marcus calls down a torrent of lightning on the hapless creatures standing together.
Move Action: Shift to I-10.
Standard Action: Vanguard's Lightning attack; Target: D3, area burst 1 targets D2; Vanguard's Lightning attack (1d20+4=22, 1d20+4=21); On hit: Lightning Damage (1d6+4=7) and whenever the target makes an opportunity attack before the end of your next turn, the target takes lightning damage equal to your Intelligence modifier (+2).
"Sturdy" Shodden Mahoen
Earth Spikes, 1d20+8=15 vs D1 AC, 1d10+5=15 damage and until the end of my next turn, the target's space and each square adjacent to it are filled with spikes. Any enemy that enters this spike-filled area or starts its turn there takes 5 damage. Mark D1 and K
DM Nixon
The two kobolds standing before Marcus look at each other quizzically before they are both struck by lightning One of them is badly wounded and the other is instantly turned into charred lizard.
D2 takes some hurt, D3 is out
As spikes tear from the ground the kobold in the middle of it is very badly wounded, it is a wonder he is still standing. Though, that could just be the spikes holding him up.

Aglaeca sagging slightly from the blood rushing untended down his arms, hissed out a curse to the dragonshield that is still standing, and repeats his fiery attack upon them.

Damage if needed = 13 with curse, and it repeats for d6+4 if it hit to begin with.

As a side note, I too am enjoying this game, but if a pissy lecture from another player is going to follow a missed turn, then count me out. Being a recent first-time dad, I can pretty much guarantee I won't be available 100% of the time when it is my turn, and I certainly don't mind having the DM NPC my character after a certain amount of AWOL time (24 hours is fine), but I object to being snarked at because of it.
