I'm checking interest and hopefully looking to start up a Forgotten Realms campaign with Keep on the Shadowfell now that the PHBII is out. I've played D&D for a while now but It's going to be my first time DMing a game(short of teaching a friend to play in person with solo combat encounters and such) I'm also new to the FR setting, but I'm hoping that I can pull together a good group that will help me get off my feet as a DM!
Players: 5, possibly 6
Gold: Standard 100gp
Items: I will allow everyone to start with one Lvl. 1 or 2 magic item
Stat Gen: 22 point buy
Posting Limitations: Minimum of one post per day (I work as a manager of a retail clothing store, but I do have a palm pilot so usually I can jump on to make a few posts on the days that I work for the majority of.)
Books: Anything from the published books will be allowed. I would rather not have anything from dragon play test but It will be up for debate.
I would like to have a story driven game, so role-playing will be rewarded as well.
The characters will be starting in the city of Highmoon, the capital of Deepingdale. You will be sitting over drinks together at a tavern called "the Gilded Lady".
Let's see if we can get a game rolling!

I would be interested in giving this a go. I am thinking either a human Weapon and shield fighter or half-elven charisma based rogue.
Human fighter concept: Garden was born and raised the son of a minor merchant in Highmoon and learned to weild a blade at an early age. By the age of 17, he often helped his father in protecting his business as well as acting as his father's representative when his father was unavailable to deal with customers. During his time working for his father, he had met a variety of different individuals, some of whom he often sees and drinks with.
Half-elven rogue concept: Karn was born to a minor magician who often tried to teach his son the trinks of being a successful wizard. However, quickly realizing his son lacked the discipline to become a good wizard, he quickly took another apprentice. Left to his own devices, Karn quickly took the one cantrip he was able to learn and started to make a living on his own as a street performer and swindler. However, though he was a swindler, he his good at heart and only swindles those who have the coin to spare.

I gotta say, I love the concept behind Karn! it's a great way to use the half-elven feature.

I am gonna go with a Shifter Shaman, actually.

if room would like to try a drow ranger or fighter... can post 1 a day easy
Concept- Dran of the house of Cutthral was not like the other members of his house. His was known to be ruthless killers and thieves in the underdark. Being the youngest male of the house, Dran was often beaten upon and ridiculed by his peers. Developing a hatered for his kind Dran escaped the underdark and now resides in Vilhon Wilds(might change) .

If your still recruiting , I can post once a day, and am interested in playing a teifling warlock.
I'm not terribly familure with FR, but my idea for a backstory is rather nondescript so I'll take constructive advice (Perhaps Thay a long long time ago just for the evil wizard vibe).
Short Backstory Idea.
Sold my Sister's Soul for demonic pack. Got power and relized what a selfish douche I was and repented. Kept the power and am now gunning for my former masters in the whole, they want to kill me anyway and I want my sister's soul back.

Here is character sheet, I copied the DDI Character sheet above for formating.
Aglaeca is passing himself off as a linguist (which he is, he got the feat) knowing three major languages besides common (Elven, Dwarvish, Giant). Aglaeca also knows Infernal (from the feat) althought he doesn't advertise that.
Aglaeca appears as a short and somewhat frumpy Tiefling with Ruddy Skin, Brown Hair, and Orange Eyes. His Armour is oddlooking, and obviously of tiefling make. He Keeps his rod discretely on his belt, where it is attached by a light chain, and is overshadowed by a mace that looks somewhat out of place on the character.
Aglaeca, level 1
Tiefling, Scourge Warlock

If you're still looking for one more player, I would like to join this group. The only thing missing is a controller, which I would be more than happy to provide with a wizard or a druid character. I've never actually played in a PbP before, but I'm familiar with the concept having looked over several existing ones for a while now. Any chance of letting a PbP newbie cutting his teeth with you?
Edit: I forgot the Invoker was also a controller... and the party could use some divinity in the group. Yeah, I think I might go this route instead.

I'd be thrilled to have you along with us, I'd love to see a druid or invoker in action. It's my first time dming so I'm completely happy with you playing your first pbp with us!
Thank you. I've decided on a Human Invoker of Tempus from Impiltur. He's also taking multi-class feats in Warlord (it seemed appropriate) so that he may act as a secondary Leader role in the group. Here are his basic stats generated from the limited CB:
Marcus Armethal, level 1

Divine Covenant: Covenant of Preservation
Background: Impiltur
FINAL ABILITY SCORES
