"Yes, you are a dead man."

In his current dazed state, is it even clear if Dral is saying that he's running to Lynora for protection, or away from her and seeking sanctuary?...

"I have no magic. No power. Everything I have done for about 50 years is now useless. I bear you and yours no harm, and never have. Joek has killed my best friend, and it is clear to me that their leader is corrupt. I have no sympathies with them. The Goddess of Bards has never turned away those in need before! How can you do so now?"

/\He is coming to the Eyrie for protection.

"It is punished by imprisonment, where I come from. I would appreciate it if you would stick to their example, rather than one of a war spirit. Even the Ch'acks had some wrong ideas. The Servants have more.

Warspirit, my friend has already been killed by the commander. We were killed because, disobeying orders, we went to warn you and your friends of the dangers of the Elements. Tarvek died helping you. Gods know what's happened to Stina. I know you have been lenient in the past, with Frost and the Yugoloths. they are evil. I am not. All I ask is to be allowed in until the Goddess can judge."

"Then I see what you are. You are a creature without true feeling, without remorse. I dub thee Deathgolem." He is silent for a moment. "I can only hope that the Goddess is otherwise." He pulls out a scroll, and intones words over it.
Lynora:
A glowing image appears before her, though it barely shows up beyond the bubble. It is the image of Dral, the one who attacked her daughter :Lynora. Goddess of Bards. I am your enemy, but not to my liking. I was ordered to capture your child and bring it back for ransom. I, as you know, made the attempt, along with my friends. I failed. Later, my friend, Stina, discovered something: Champions are not meant to last long. I thus left with my friends to warn each of the Champions left: KC, Aidan, and the Bard. Alas, my friend Tarvek came back to discover that our former lord Joek did not approve. He was killed. Later, I came, and lost all my magic in the process. I barely escaped alive. I now beg for sanctuary of any kind, even if it be a concrete cell. Otherwise, I am a dead man. I regret my ignorant actions, and now have no sympathies for the Servants. Please. I spent 50 years practicing magic. Now, I have nothing left."

"A soldier would not be begging like this. In death your spirit will go freely to the Halls of Judgment. It might be, perhaps, the first real freedom you've tasted in a long time. If I thought you an eager participant I would drag your spirit to Hell myself. Stand for your actions, you coward."

He is silent, his eyes glowing gold.

Meanwhile, up above, Kobold Cleaver is receiving a message. He thanks the messenger and reads the letter. He sighs sadly.
"A pity. I shall give them 10 minutes before I begin the search. They were loyal once, and perhaps they will come to their senses and turn themselves in."

Stina appears, glancing around. Kobold Cleaver sighs.
"Very well, then. Guards! After her!"

CH approaches the old man, drawing his hammer.

"I name you criminal. I name you coward. For your willing crimes against my family you will be executed. Be happy that I will not bind your soul. That small weakness I will allow myself."

"Combat, or simple execution? Or I could simply push you off the cliff and let the Servants have you."

The memory of Arielle's face as she recounted her story is fresh on his mind.

The old woman's eyes widen. She mounts her broomstick and speeds off, fleeing the army after her. She notices Dral and hesitates. then she comes to a decision. She dives down, and lands in front of Dral. "Halt, warspirit, lest I fire! I am Stina Coldblast!"

Somewhere along the lower edges of the Eyrie, Tristan watches in amazement and apprehension as the armored firebearer and the board-servants bring destruction to his new home.

Spoiler:
Detect Magic. What does he see in terms of magic?

Kobold Cleaver sees her land and sighs. This would be a long day.

"Servants, to me!" The assorted men and women fly down at Jack hammer, Stina and Dral.

Dral is still in a trance.

Stina looks, panicked, at the Servants. She looks at the golem. She fires a spell of slowness at the golem and grabs Dral. "Come on, Dral! We must get out of here!"

"Wha--Stina, I can't! They took my magic! I have nothing left!"

"What? That can't--come on!" She begins a spell of teleportation.

CH hurls his hammer at the chest of the old man, turning to the newcomer.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

"You are the 3rd I have named criminal. Your soul is marked. Are you here for punishment?"

Dral vanishes, with a look of terror on his face.

His hammer returns to his hand. His form becomes black as night once again.

Dral stumbles up and points a shaky, bleeding finger at JH. "I...name you murderer! You act outside of the law! there is no true justice with thee! You act in blind vengeance, and that is not justice!"

You know, that's my character he just unfairly killed. I thought the whole concept was that we got permission before killing each others' characters. Clearly I was mistaken.

Okay, you're getting a bit too IC, Emperor. You're supposed to give everybody a chance to dodge.

I am going offline now. You are being a jerk. You have gotten used to being the center of the story. But your personal quest is over. That is my character, and you have killed him without permission.

Lame. I threw the hammer and your guy stood there. No special powers, nothing. You ignored the choice to dodge, choosing instead to stand there again and have him whine. Two others of your characters stood there doing nothing after that, except Stina adding to the whining. So I walked over and shut him up. Pick up his carcass and raise it. As for center of attention - Look in a mirror.

He did not dodge the first blow. So you decide he doesn't dodge the second? You clearly don't have much imagination about the creativity of others.
You know what? Fine.

Stina gasps as she shes the body of her friend fall. She screams with rage and shrieks a spell. Jack Hammer feels his connection to this world fading...until he realizes that he is dead. Stina regards his corpse with disdain and fury. "I believe we are now even."
And now I choose to go. And do not disregard this, it is completely serious. After all, he couldn't dodge the slow spell, so he couldn't dodge this, either.

And now I really do have to go. I think we've come to a fair compromise here: If you want to kill somebody, ask, first.
