"I'm curious.. are there any differences in my scents?" She enquires
"Yes, they are different. Not as different as yours and Yarden's scent. You and you sister are much closer than other humans I have encountered. It helps when coming across someone who is disguised if you know the person's scent. It is much harder to disguise a person's scent. It's one of the lessons I learned in the war college.
Come, let's catch up to the others. We can talk about it more if you like while we walk."

Ragpickers Lane was bordering on the area used by the laundress’ guild. (There’s plenty of dirty laundry involved, but nobody’s washing anything.) Any actual clothes washing that gets done happens here. There is also a brisk business in used clothing, generally scavenged off the recently deceased. What can’t be mended or remade and resold is sold to the papermakers’ guild. It’s not much of a living, but better than nothing. The lane is filled with ragged children of several races. Crisscrossing lines of dripping laundry hang overhead, blocking most of the light. A greasily hopeful man with a handcart brightens as he sees you.
“Rat on a stick! Best rat on a stick in the whole Ward! Sure, an you look like folks of means. Wouldn’t you like to be trying Hopeless’s famous rat on a stick?”

Blind Man’s Alley was the official home of the Beggar’s Guild. You’ve never seen so many maimed and afflicted personages in all your life. Which is especially interesting when they sometimes change affliction mid-stride as they change their minds about what might be the best choice today. The tenements here aren’t as tall as is common in other areas, rarely rising higher than three stories. There are also many tents and shanties along the street, although that is a term that can only be used loosely here. The small walkway that is left is barely wide enough for two to walk through at once, and is more comfortably walked single file.
“I don’t suppose ye’d have a spare coin fer an ol’ sailor what can’t sail nae more?” a ‘blind’ man asks piteously rattling his cup as you approach.

“I don’t suppose ye’d have a spare coin fer an ol’ sailor what can’t sail nae more?” a ‘blind’ man asks piteously rattling his cup as you approach.
"Of course," answers Father Timmis taking out a couple of copper pieces and dropping them in the proferred cup. "It must be terrible for you - not being able to sail any more. Were you in the city navy? Crewing a merchant's vessel?"

Putting his around around Savrial's shoulder's he gives her a squeeze, "Can't be too careful. I've heard about the Beggar's Guild. Haven't ever been down here, but seems you can make a good living at it if you can handle the life."
He waves off the "blind" begger. "Not today sir."

"hah. It isn't filth.
I'll take 2.
How much?Anyone else want one?"
Hopeless beams at you, revealing crooked, but surprisingly healthy teeth. "That'll be two coppers apiece, my fine friend. A real connosieur of fine quality victuals you are, I can tell, and I do hope ye'll be enjoying them."
They smell quite tasty, and are probably the only truly fresh meat obtainable in this sections of town.| Lynora de Trevante |

Not only is he not blind, it is beyond unlikely that he has ever so much as set foot on a boat of any kind.

Not only is he not blind, it is beyond unlikely that he has ever so much as set foot on a boat of any kind.
Father Timmis sighs sadly.
"Perhaps you could put such tale-spinning to good use," he counsels the beggar reproachfully. "Earn yourself an honest living, maybe learn to play an instrument. There's always demand for bards and other entertainers - when the time is right people willingly pay for lies and tall tales."
Father Timmis
"Keep your eyes open, lots of folks around here are a lot more direct than this one"
Father Timmis nods his understanding, before offering a wry smile. "My eyes are sharp enough, I'm sure I'll spot my share of miscreants," he grins. "It's catching them that might be the problem. I'm not as fit as I used to be."
As he moves away from the beggar, he self-consciously adjusts the straps on his armor. "I dont know how people move around in all this metal." he complains to himself.

Somos hands him a silver and takes a bite (biting the meat in half).

To the cook, "Thanks cooker. You'll see me again."
Hopeless chortles with glee. "Thank ye kindly guv'nor, and if there's ever any way old Hopeless can be of service to ye, well, don't be hesitating to ask."

To the girls, "You want to try a bite?"
The look Yarden gives Somos could wither a flower, but all she does is shake her head and turn around to survey the area around them. Let the others make friends, she'll be ready to kill... err... disable them once they decide to stab us in the back.

Blind Man's Alley:
Up ahead of you there is a ruckus as two beggars are doing their utmost to try and kill each other. One of them is trying to strangle the other, while the other is bashing his would-be killer in the head with a metal bowl. There is a lot of screeching, but no discernible words at this point.

"You there!" calls Father Timmis, hurrying forward toward the disturbance. "Let's have none of that! What's this all about - what's going on?" As he moves towards the two beggars, face a mask of concern, he leaves his weapons sheathed - holding out his empty hands in a placating gesture.
Father Timmis
As he rushes forward, Father Timmis is tripped by one of the onlookers, who grins.
"Can't let yer interrupt a good show now." he snickers.
Stumbling and nearly ending spread-eagled on the road, Father Timmis frowns at the one who tripped him.
"Careful friend," he warns, "those who stand by and let others be bullied will find there's no-one there to help them when they need it most."
Harden Sull
The noise of the racket up ahead grab's Harden's attention. Seeing the fight, he drops his arm away from Savrial and draws his club unobtrusively, letting it hang in hand by his side.
He stops quickly to help up Timmis. "Careful," he mutters to the cleric, "There are more of them than us. Wouldn't do to start a riot on our first day."
He shoots a whithering glare at person who tripped Timmis. "You might want to not interfere with the law, my man," Harden growls.

"Girls, please check on the little to see if he is ok. Yarden, you're with me."
Somos will let the kobold pass him then step in between him and the 3 thugs. "Ok, boys enough of that!" He yells and spreading his arms out as to block them from going past while drawing his blade.
Yarden Talazac
"Yarden, you're with me."
Yarden smiles cruelly as the kobold runs past and she also steps out in front of the thugs with Somos, totally blocking their access to the little runner.
She appears to be unarmed, but as the thugs watch, cruel claws suddenly grow from the ends of her fingers and her eyes become a blazing red.Intimidate Check. (1d20+7=25) Finally IC throws me a bone on an improtant roll!

Thanking Harden as he is helped to his feet, Father Timmis moves up to stand close behind Liandra, also readying his mace in case it will be needed.
Still unsure in his new role, he also reaches into his pocket and fishes out his watchman badge, waving it around uncertainly to anyone who may be interested in checking his credentials.

Blind Man's Alley:
The crowd draws back, muttering suspiciously as the watch you, but the two combatants are still too focused on removing each other from their mortal existence to even notice what's going on around them. A few of the beggars spit in your general direction before moving off, glaring resentfully at you.

Frowning at the man's continued assault on the fallen beggar, Father Timmis steps forward slightly, his hands making a subtle gesture as he murmurs a prayer to Irori.
I'll cast hold person on the still conscious combatant the DC for his will save each round is 16.
Harden Sull
Harden steps up next to Liandra, mentally making a note to never piss the elf off.
Holding his club in his right hand, he raises his left as if to cast a spell shouting, "Ya'll heard the lady, get on to your homes or whatever business you have. This is over!"
He waggles his finger as if he is starting to cast a spell. Which, being a warlock, he isn't, but he hopes they don't realize that.

"For the last time, disperse IMMEDIATELY!!"
And old beggar woman chuckles dryly. "Lady, this is as dispersed as things get around here. You see lots of places for folks to go right about now? We live out here on the street, most of us. The uppity ups in the guild are the only ones what get to live indoors."

Smiling gently Anya steps forward with an open and calming demeanor, opening her arms a little to the frightened kobold. "Shh, it's alright, we're here to help. Please tell us what happened" She declares in a soothing tone.
The kobold shrinks back against the wall, watching Anya and Elya fearfully.
"I didn't mean no harm. I swear," it squeaks, eyes wide with terror.
