Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

My players came up with this crazy idea to hold a bazaar at their newly founded town of Prosperity, which in our campaign is the boomtown that has replaced Turtleback Ferry and is built just outside Fort Rannick. This is their way of getting out of having to travel all over to sell of the extreme amount of gear and Thassilonian relics they have picked up over the campaign. They have used Teleport to get to most of the major cities, send out some feelers and basically advertise that they are willing to part with the loot.

There are of course going to be complications. The Darklight Sisterhood is going to make a less than friendly appearance, and not every person capable of making out here will be interested in "buying". Some other campaign oriented events are all going to transpire, but basically the fan will be shat upon during the session.

What I would love to do is intersperse other groups characters into the events, so tell me about your groups so they can guest star in my game :D

All three characters live in Sandpoint at this time...

Stoutfist Frothbeard (m/dwarf/ranger); cross between traditional dwarf and the village hobo (has Prof. Hobo as a skill). Kinda country, not very bright or articulate. Has an incredible love of pie and hatred of goblins. Duel wields a dwarven axe and pot (a family heirloom cooked out of by generations of adventurers)

Ishtar Jones (m/half elf/ranger); "fraidy cat", jumps at every unexplained sound or shadow. Has scared himself. However still pushes on bravely in the face of his fear. ALWAYS has a lantern handy and a short bow so he doesn't have to get close.

Erika (f/halfling/monk); works at the Hagfish but takes plenty of time off. Family hails from the Cinderplains and a tribe with a strong martial tradition. Kind of girly. Fights with a combination of hand-to-hand and constant weapon improvisation.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it was after the session occurred I think. I may slide them into the next campaign at some point.

I like this tread and want to keep it going for future use, just encase another person comes around wondering what weirdo characters we all have to deal with ;)

Vuutharak - A one-eyed, black dragon subtype lizardfolk rouge black dragon bloodtype sorcerer with a penchant for hording gems and various valuable art objects. Vuutharak is involved in various criminal organization, mostly specializing in trafficking and larceny.

Faridoon - Ex-mercenary devil-haunted alcoholic human thug fighter with an unsettling grin and intimidating presence. Faridoon works for the Cod Row Blades as an enforcer, maintaining guild rule at the docks but constantly haunted by a devil who murdered is childhood friends which he represses with alcoholism.

Jinx - An aesthetic half-orc monk of a death cult of Zyphus. Jinx's trouble child lead him to the path of nihilism and back... back to the doorstep of the House of Reaper where he now works as a devoted assassin to the god of tragic death.

Dynff - An aspiring Drow rogue assassin in the ranks of the Hooded, the secret enforcer wing of the criminal organization called the Hangmen. On the eve of his execution for thievery, Dynff exchanged a piece of his soul for a piece of the shadow plane, securing his place as a devote worshiper of Norgorber.

Variel -An elven wander turned cleric of Calistria. Variel divides his time between the working women of Calistria's brothel and gathering rumors that pass amongst the aristocratic clientele and the priestesses.

Don't really have residences yet, they're just clearing out Ft Rennick. But the cast looks like this:

Periwinkle Nine-toes - A dwarf barbarian born on the wrong side of the tracks in Magnimar(sp). Very self-effacing, used to being pushed into a room full of ogres and having the door slammed behind him. Usually can hanlde it, too.

McAnally - A dwarf cleric born on the right side of the tracks. Usually the one who pushes Periwinkle into the room and slams the door. Very much a social climber, and a bit of a coward. His mom was a cleric, but he is too wishy-washy to pick an actual deity, so he's just sort of a generic cleric of good.

Grelfood - elf mage - parts collector and would be taxidermist. If your people are opening a store, he'll be interested in all the vampire dust, spectre ichor, troll blood, whatever weird parts they might have for sale. (On his way to inventing quite a number of magical items). Note: In my campaign I give them credit for having parts that make sense when building a magical item.

Thorn - half-elf duskblade. Arrogant, greedy, loves his scorching ray spell. Always ready to set a building on fire and kill what comes out, rather than going in and killing it first, then setting the building on fire. Note the common thread there - something is going to burn!

Casiday - half-elf druid - abandoned and raised by wolves (cha 8), no animal companion, took the air domain instead. Just discovered how much fun she can have with call lightning, don't wear metal around her for a while.

Willowweed - Halfing rogue - just in it for the money. Has the only bag of holding in the party, so she carried most of the party funds. So far she has only taken slightly more than her share, but then, they don't actually have a lot of funds yet.
