I think I remember reading about something about this situation. Isn't there something in the GSL about character sheets for Dungeons & Dragons 4E? That they were now WotC's IPs?

I'm not sure, all I have been told about the situation has been that Ema's site reproduced the information 4th edition powers as part of the character creation (explaining what each power did and so on), and that the 3rd edition sheets used the D&D logo without permission.
I don't recall anyone talking about a part of the GSL that barred character sheets or such.

Yeah, I also heard that it wasn't the sheet, but the information you could pull from the site (and there was also a component where you paid for storage, I think, which presumably increased WotC's irritation).
