For those of you unfamiliar with this part of the city, let me make one thing perfectly clear. The Warrens are dangerous. Most of the criminal activity that happens in Chance happens here. You are here because your predecessors were not very good at watching their backs. I intend for all of you to stay in one piece so make sure not only to watch your own back, but your teammates' as well. Remember, they're watching your back too.
I expect you to obey the law, within reason. Don't think I'm not watching you. Kitty will be providing each of you with a write-up of the currently active gangs, *sigh* whenever she feels like getting around to it.
You will be checking in with Corporal Keriton, she says, indicating a thri-kreen waiting with several pens in hands. Try not to be rude. He does bite when provoked.

Looking forward to it.
So... what is our stance going to be on bribes? I had not even considered it until it was mentioned in the other thread.
lynora - is there a rule on bribes already?I'll finish up my char in the next 2-3 days. :D
Well, it's like this. You can take them. But if Nico finds out about it, she'll kick your a$$, and you never know for sure when the urban druid is watching....:)

Harden Sull |

Ok then....awkward. Guess he doesn't. *awkward silence*
Ahh, spoiler hide. Much better.
*cough* Harden Sull reporting for duty. *shrugs and shifts weight* All this is mine. *Pats backpack*

just seeing if i can get any of these to work
bold
** spoiler omitted **
really looking forward to getting started!
how many people for night watch do we have ATM?
Currently seven. Crimson Jester expressed possible interest in the last slot, but I'm not sure if he'll join us or not.
Presuming no more disasters in my personal life, I'm looking to get the Night Watch game started on Wednesday.

OK awesome=)

So... do we get paid?
(I'm wondering how the PC will be getting their treasure...)
Do we get to "keep what we kill"? (or capture)
Do we try to capture over kill?
Yes, you get paid. Not nearly enough. No one ever wants to pay the Watch a decent wage :)
Gear from those arrested is placed into a storage locker. Once those persons have been convicted that gear is distributed among the members of the Watch as a way of supplementing their income. There is definitely an emphasis on capture rather than kill. In an extreme situation you can do what you have to to defend the lives of yourself or others, but there will be detailed enquiries into the circumstances that made lethal force necessary.

By the way Cityscape has some great feats for this game providing things like rooftop skills, permission to carry banned weapons, extra snitches etc.
And cool spell for our many finger wagglers like Detect Weaponry and Peacebond.
Cityscape is one of those books I keep meaning to read, but have never quite got around to. If there's something you want from there, go right ahead. I have the ability to go look it up if I need more information about something.

Harden Sull |

Heh. Oh, this is gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Harden is gonna have to go get a truncheon though. Using his sickle all the time might get a bit messy....hmmm.
One also has to remember, that is some of the smaller, shinier, more valuable pieces of gear aren't still in the perp's pocket when he gets to jail, well, it shortens the time to getting paid.
Not that Harden would be thinking of ways to enrich himself, but he really wants that alchemist's kit......

Somos:
The part about staying with his uncle is good. Since his uncle is a wizard, he would have some basic familiarity with the Collegium Arcanum and its little quirk of moving about the city and being in a new location every day. (The whole college exists in an extradimensional space.)
Also, there is more than one war college in Chance. Fighting schools are usually sponsored by the temples, but not always. Your choice which sort you went to.

Will you be enforcing the -4 to deal subdual damage rule?
(some do, some don't, so I'm asking...) I was thinking of changing something but I wanted to check first.
Probably not. One of the main points of the game is to actually bring things in alive rather than dead, and that rule in this game leads to overmuch hassle and bookkeeping.

Awesome. Then I will stay with my original plan.

Father Timmis is nearly done (sorry for the delay). Please check over his background and see it fits in ok. I still have to do spells and items - should be done within a few hours...
Looking forward to getting to use him.. :)
The background looks good. You did a good job integrating him into a different environment. :)

Ack! Okay, I was gonna get your first post up tonight, but I just got told I need to make a new character for Scion before 8, and I'm already halfway through working on a long post for the High Seas game. Very, very sorry. Will have your intro up either very late tonight or tomorrow morning.

These are very rough sketches, but since they are all I have done, and are in fact what I’ve been working from, they’ll just have to do for now.
I'm working on getting your introductory post done, too. Should be up soon.
OK cool nice maps, they do the job there meant to, tell you where everything is=)
Looking forward to starting!

lynora |

OK. My stats are finally written up and I'm ready to roll.
Lynora:
I've selected two spells from PHBII. If they aren't acceptable let me know and I'll change them.
Cheers
Looks good. Those spells are fine. This should be interesting :)

Do we stay in the Nightwatch Inn or do we have our own living spaces?
There is a boardinghouse next to the Watch station that gives special rates to Watchmen. You're required to stay there during your training period. After that it's up to you. Most of the officers who don't either die or transfer to another Ward live there. The Captain has living quarters in the station itself.
