52AC, added defending to my axe, so even a venerable red dragon needs at least a 10 to hit...

I'm not quite finished, but I should be done by this weekend.


Once I figure out the encounter I'll have to decide the set-up time, and then figure out the map and get everything set-up for it.

You did already encounter some minor resistance, so you can have any spells with a duration of 10 minute or more activated. (5 minutes left.) Elmora took care of most of the resistance with a 5 charge wand of fireballs, and the clean-up was by the rest...it was a pretty simple battle against 8-10th level warriors. Healing was done with the 10 charge wand of cure serious that they had. (There, now it all makes sense.)

Grumble Grog activates the haste in his boots and hustles up to the doors, as his hand grasps the handles, a stroke of lightning leaps from the door traveling down the corridor.

REFLEX SAVE DC22 for all. Lilianna should have checked the door for traps.

Grumble fails his reflex save, taking the full 34 points of dmg. (14 after the temporary heroism points.)


Elmora makes her saving throw, taking half dmg (17) (4 temp HP remain from greater heroism)

She casts greater invis on herself and waits where she is.


I will post the map when I go home for lunch.

The unicorn will use its Good domain power to give a +7 to the Disable Device check, if allowed to.


Sounds perfectly fine, I read through it, I'm sure this is a tactic that the group would have developed over time, and the Unicorn is an intelligent creature, so it's an easy task to do.


Lilliana grumbles something about people always being in hurries when patience is a virtue and rolls Disable Device:

Roll: 1d20+15=23 +7 from the Unicorn for 30.

I noticed that Lilliana is missing a +3 modifier for most of her skills (for being a class skill).


You open the lock almost before your lockpicks hit the lock...(DC was only 15, very simple lock.)

The complex begins to shake as the sound of the chanting builds beyond mortal means...

You know, I did that exact same thing on another character I made recently... I must have a blank spot in my memory where that exact piece of information rests... Thanks!

Grumble Grog begins pulling on the rings of the door, the massive 2 ton doors slowly open (full round action)

"Grumble grumble, sure could use some...GROG!"


As the doors open, you see some figures standing on a 10 foot tall stone block in the middle of a massive room, you can't tell how many there are since the angle allows you to only see 4 figures, they have daggers in their hands and have them hovering above their chests... they plunge the weapons into their chests and fall forward toward the center of the block...

The chorus of otherworldly chanting changes from filling the room, to echoing as if in a tunnel, then it suddenly stops...and the a wave of what could only be called chaos twists your visual perceptions for a second or two as all the colors in the room twist, orange becomes blue, yellow becomes brown and black becomes a shade of green you've never seen. The walls appear to twist and warp as the very nature of order is tweaked. You hear a million voices echoing off the ceiling.

A crazed looking human comes to the edge of the block and looking down upon you says...he has a third eye in his forehead.

"Welcome friends, the ritual is complete, you shall be Ddthu'gguhtos's first meal when he arrives!!!" MWUAHHAHAHAHHA


"I've got a meal for him... A meal of PAIN!"

Strangler and the unicorn move into the room and the unicorn uses Cure Moderate Wounds on Strangler.

"SnapKrrrackllPaawp" she says to the elder fire elemental, "Into the room"
