Some people argue that what this dude is doing is just like mash-ups, a la Girl Talk and the Grey Album.
It's nice to see someone on the boards who knows about Gregg Gillis, err... Girl Talk. This stuff is great. I always appreciate when someone has found their muse and can do something creative.
I'd say (to answer an earlier post) that some of it is more trip-hop than others; "I'm New" specifically, which is also my favorite so far.

Coldcut were doing this in the late 1990s. I can see a lot of time went into it though. It's the modern-art of music to me.
The reference to farting in a bottle was the allusion I made to the quality of sound created...
Funnily enough, my favourite sound in the world is a deep sawtooth synth, which incidentally sounds a bit like a fart! ;)
Cheers! :D

Ferreals.
Ah well. Hardly your fault.
If it's any consolation the guy who posted the jerky first response has decided to leave the boards.
Really? Hrm. I suppose that's for the best or something.
I'm glad everyone who enjoyed the vids enjoyed them and I'm glad I brought something interesting to those who didn't really like them!

So my boyfriend is a hip hop producer and loves to sample music for his beats. We were fiddling around on teh intertubes last night and found these! Aren't they neat?
Some people argue that what this dude is doing is just like mash-ups, a la Girl Talk and the Grey Album. But in all reality, what this guy is doing is sampling from a whole bunch of youtube vids. Imagine the awesome songs that could be made that started off as youtube vids. Gives me shivers. OR! Rick rolls for all!
I likes it.
This sort of thing really takes a certain level of genius in order to make such a cohesive whole out of such disparate parts. I really appreciate the talent and vision that was able to take this and bring it all together!
Very nice, and mad props to the artist!
