Prestige Classes for Pathfinder

General Discussion (Prerelease)

Liberty's Edge

A number of PRCs were never converted to 3.5 along the way (the Ghostwalker, the Master of Chains. etc). Any ideas for converting these to Pathfinder, albeit with a different name?

As an aside, I noticed that some of the earlier PRCs used some strange mechanics... the DC for the Darkwood Stalker for instance has an ability gained at 10th level with a DC of 10 + Darkwalker level + relevant ability modifier. Why bother with the "PRC class level" part of that mechanic if it is granted as an endcap ability? Wouldn't it just make more sense to have it read as "DC 20 + relevant modifier?" Or as an ability granted earlier that builds its DC?

If you do them yourself, you don't need to change the name.

But officially, they won't be done, with or without a different name.

If the concept is strong enough, maybe some of the concepts will see print as Pathfinder product, but no near conversion.

The difference is for epic progression of prestige classes. If you leave the DC using the class level, by epic levels it can get better. If you leave it as a flat number, it never will increase.
