So the Hulk has had been doing some crazy stuff of late. When last I followed the Green Giant he was kinda evil/ smart and smashing up the Earth. He was tricked into getting on a rocket and shot into outer space. Now I am not so certain was the story theme is. I paged through a comic a few weeks back and it appeared that Hulk was back to being more of what I remember in the 80's (Stupid and Misunderstood).
I also bought 2 issues of Hulk vs. Wolverine and never saw another issue after that! It ended with Hulk ripping Logan in half (of course that isn't his name any more either...).

Let's see...
Well the Illuminati (Professor X, Doctor Strange, Mister Fantastic, Namor, Iron Man, and Black Bolt) blasted hulk off in a rocket. He landed on the planet Sakaar.
After leading a rebellion he becomes emperor. But Sakaar is destroyed. killing his wife and unborn child. He returns to earth and World War Hulk starts. He starts to hunt the illumanti, and ends with Hulk asking Tony Stark to stop him. After this Bruce is locked in SHIELD Headquarters.
After this comes Red Hulk. Not much is known of this Hulk (other than it's not Bruce), and takes pleasure in hurting and killing others.
As for the wolverine/hulk comic. With the new Dark Reign arc there is a group of avengers, lead by osbourne, called the Dark Avengers. Daken (Wolverine's son) has taken up the name Wolverine in this group

Red Hulk is LAME. (He picked up Thor's hammer! He beat up Thor! STOOOPID!)
World War Hulk was a story that started great and ended like a wet noodle... like all of marvels story lines.
Planet Hulk was great. (I have the hardcover.)
Hulk's son is still alive on Sakaar. That story is 'meh'.
Mr Fixit (the grey hulk in Vegas) is my favorite Hulk.

I believe the Hulk/Wolverine story takes place in the Ultimate Universe, which is separate from standard Marvel continuity.
The Hulk's personality in recent years goes somewhere along these lines:
Gray Hulk - the original Hulk, a representation of Bruce Banner's dark desires as a teenager. Thuggish but cunning, he spent some time under the alias Joe Fixit in Las Vegas when the world thought the Hulk was dead.
Savage Hulk - the dumb green Hulk, a representation of Bruce Banner's abused childhood. He's the green Hulk currently running around in the Marvel Universe.
A few years ago, Bruce Banner's personalities got merged into one super-intelligent, super-strong Hulk. That merger got split up later, and Bruce's personality has been a mess since. The Hulk that appeared in Planet Hulk and World War Hulk was a combination of the gray and savage Hulks - somewhat intelligent, but still capable of immense rage.
World War Hulk ended with the Hulk getting fried by Iron Man's attack satellites. Since then, it seems that the intelligent side of the Hulk's personality has disappeared. The savage Hulk is back and dumber than ever, and seems to only dimly remember the events of World War Hulk.
Meanwhile, there's an intelligent, murderous red Hulk out there now that is definitely not Bruce Banner. His true identity is unknown.

Ok, I thought Hulk Evolution went like this.
Grey hulk - only came out during night hours, stil hulk mad hulk smash.
Became - Green Hulk. Hulk still talk like this, want to be alone.
Due to tinkering - became puny Banner and seperate mindless hulk.
Attempted to reintigrate the two + tampering by Vision = Joe Fixit at night, Bruce at day.
After some fun with that, and the two personalities beginning to talk with each other and reaching a truce (and producing two of the funniest issues of Wolverine ever) They almost reach Betty. As Bruce tries to charge after the train, he loses his temper and the Green hulk returns.
Grey hulk and Green hulk fight in Bruce's subconscious, with grey Hulk winning most of the fights.
Grey Hulk: I finally get people to forget that my skin and IQ had a lot in common with avacado, and then you show up again!
Green Hulk: Real hulk smash door, smash puny fake hulk!
Grey Hulk: Look! Behind you! Is that Lou Ferigno?
Green hulk: *turns* What? Hulk no see anyone th-
*Door slams shut, Grey hulk slips bar across it.* Works every time.
Bruce and Joe Fixit override the day/night limitation to save Rick Jones "I thought you only changed at night?" "It's night somewhere isn't it?" Both still have to deal with Green hulk.
Finally Doc Sampson, using the Ringmaster, is able to have the three personalities meet in the subconscious and fight their common foe, the trauma caused by his father. End Result, merged persona, Banner, with Green Hulk's strength and Joe Fixit's attitude and humour.
The merged persona starts cracking under various strains (including the Maestro). finally the strain is too much and the Green Hulk persona returns. Bruce's subconscious engages a failsafe and reverts his body to Banner's 'normal' form, with the Green Hulk in charge, and not happy.
Eventually that's resolved, and Bruce and Betty are on the run with Bruce in the hulk's body, and if he loses his temper he becomes puny hulk.
*Insert Heroes Reborn mess here Bruce and hulk are seperated Peter David's stuck writing hulk-without-Banner* I lost interest after this, and PAD left over creative differences soon afterwards.
I know that PAD's merged persona was later retconned into a 4th personality 'The Professor'. But I don't know or care about the red hulk.

I believe the Hulk/Wolverine story takes place in the Ultimate Universe, which is separate from standard Marvel continuity.
Speaking of the Ultimate universe, the Ultimate Hulk recently got together with the Supremeverse Zarda (a reimagined version of Squadron Supreme's Power Princess, sort of a marvel version of DC's Wonder Woman- if you will);after fighting near a pancake resturant, they came to an understanding of sorts- they has teh sexorz. Check it out here, if ya don't believe it.
Just thought I'd share that with everyone...

Which was probably one of the stupidest comic books I ever read.
The Ultimate lines have really gone down hill, since they started letting Jeph Loeb write half of them.

Since this is a family friendly forum, I can't really say what I think about the Hulk lately or Jeph Loeb in general. Suffice to say, I can't believe this guy is paid good money to crap out bad stories.
