"So, if you don't mind me asking... Where, exactly, did the money go, child? Looking around, we see everything gone, as if someone just swiped everything off of the walls. What happened to make this place so... Spartan? Perhaps there is something we are missing, or perhaps there is something missing from your story? We are not angry, child, but we do need to know more."

Aerflae's face has turned serious, as Jasum's behavior just doesn't seem right in some manner.

DM:

Spoiler:
Curiosity strikes me, does Aerflae sense the presence from before? He's on edge and this would almost add up to make sense of the situation.

The vendor promptly gives you two lamb mezze in small bread bowls, along with a couple of small wooden spoons.

Jungar the one-eyed Vendor

"You seem to be a Fox boy, don't let them anglers take your stuff to the ferret."

Spoiler:

You feel nothing from the entity from earlier. No magics seem to be here at all.

"I have.... I couldn't help myself... I saw a good deal and then... I hadn't gambled in years. I, I just couldn't stop..."

at which point Jasum breaks down in tears

"Child, you do realize that what you did would be considered thievery. I'll not be the one to decide whether to turn you in or not, nor will I say a word. Your young master here, Garyd, will decide what to do with you. I am... sorry for your vice taking away so much of what the Vyctiro family has had. Let us hope that recovering that is nearly as easy as you lost it."

Aerflae is sadder once he hears this, and is holding his head with one hand as he shakes it.

"I'll be sure to do that.", he says as he turns away and mouths to Twitch "What is he talking about?".

"I am, I am, truely sorry for my actions but I have done all I can to keep everything as close to good as close to the way it was as possible. I am your servant and shall be until my dieing days."

Korren

You notice a group of kids playing dice by one of the walls. They look liek they are having a nice work free day, and have thier fishing poles with them. They are all watching you and Twitch closely.

*Sigh* "Well, child, that paperwork could go a long way towards helping everyone in the long run, do be a dear and obtain that for us, child."
