Ever since 3.0, the class skills listed under class and PrC descriptions, include the ability modifier next to it. (i.e.: Monk class skills: Acrobatics (Dex), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), etc).
Why do these skills have the abilities listed beside them in the skill descriptions, when they are also listed in the skills table in the skills chapter?
This just seems like needless duplication, taking up room for other print, but perhaps there's something I am missing?
well you do not have to book flip. If you pick all your skills from a class list say in the class chapter [I have players that do this] It is faster and helpful not to have to go look at a chart in the skill chapter just to see what mods ya add to that skill.
Thats my take, not having them there would be annoying
