Temple Sword - Is a Monk automatically proficient

The Temple Sword in the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting has the following text:

A temple sword is a monk special weapon. This gives a monk wielding a temple sword special options.

Does this mean monks are automatically proficient with the temple sword? Or do they have to get the Exotic Weapon Proficiency -feat?

What are the special options mentioned? All of the options that monks have when using the other special monk weapons?

They still need the feat. The text just permits the special monk abilities to be used with it.

Yes. Using them for flurry of blows and to deliver special attacks (such as stunning fist), pretty much.
