I think the bonus spells per day for high ability score is ok for the Wizard
But for the Sorcerer since he can already cast more spells
The bonus should go to spells known instead of spells per day
It makes a lot more sense class wise and gives the sorcerer a better chance to survive the 4 beginning levels wich is where the sorcerer
class struggles the most
given the fact that Wizards start the game knowing:
- All the 0 level spells there is
- 3 first level spells + 1 for every point he has for high (int) score
this is what it looks like at level 1:
(int:18) (+4) Bonus spells 1.1.1.1 bonus to spellbook (+4)
Wizard: Spells per day: level 0= 3 level 1= 2 (+1 bonded object)
Spell book: level 0= all level 1= 7 + anything he finds
Sorcerer: Spells per day: level 0= ~ level 1= 4
(normal) Spell known: level 0= 4 level 1= 2
Sorcerer: Spells per day: level 0= ~ level 1= 3
(changed) Spells known: level 0= 4 level 1= 3
I think it fits better but please give me some feedback

i had a dm give me bonus known spells based on my average of int and wis. it worked well. he did still give me bonus spells per/day based on cha.
i just made a bunch of bloodline feats that gave bonus spells known. the first one gave 3; 1 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd and they where all based on blood line, not just any three spells. (i used the ones for the dragon heratige as a baseline)

The problem is, a Sorcerer doesn't get so much more spells than a Wizard in PFRPG. They have still more, but if a Wizard can gain bonus spells per day with his Intelligence, and a Sorcerer cannot gain bonus spells per day with his Charisma... the advantage would go immensely on the Wizard.
A Sorcerer has 6 spells per day per spell level at 20th level.
A Wizard has 4 spells per day per spell level at 20th level, plus 10 1st-level spells, plus 1 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th level spell per day. Each of these bonus spells (excluded the 10 1st-level ones) can be exchanged (when they are taken for the first time) for 2 spells of the previous level.
So, we have:
Sorcerer: 6/6/6/6/6/6/6/6/6 (plus cantrips)
Wizard: 4+10/4+1/4+1/4/4+1/4+1/4+1/4+1/4+1 (plus cantrips) OR 4+10+2/4+2/4/4+2/4+2/4+2/4+2/4+2/4 (plus cantrips) (or -insert multiple other combinations here- ).
A Wizard with high Intelligence would surely add at least 2 spells from 1st to 3rd level, plus 1 spell from 4th to 7th (this is a Wizard with 24 Intelligence, surely at 20th level a Wizard can go higher than that). Now, if a Sorcerer has 24 Charisma, he has the same bonus spells per day; if we however change the bonus to the Sorcerer, the Wizard now is a gatling-gun of spells, while the Sorcerer is a crossbow at best...
Your suggestion would be good if the Charisma bonus would give bonus spells known AND bonus spells per day - but I think that this would have a chance in a million to happen (although it would bring some more deserved love to Sorcerers, IMHO).
Just my 2 cents.

Currently, the only feat in 3.5 that I'm aware of which allows to add more spells known is Spell Knowledge (an Epic Feat in the SRD); however, due to the crazy number of feats existent in 3.5, I would not be surprised to know that a similar (non-Epic) feat already exists somewhere else. But I agree with you, it should be added to the Core Feats in the final version of PFRPG (IMHO), in order to allow a Sorcerer (or Bard) to expand his/her number of spells known without having to search a zillion of Splatbooks to have the same result.
