Escape From Old Korvosa: Plague

Curse of the Crimson Throne

Should the plague still be an issue for the PCs during Escape From Old Korvosa, or is the plague supposed to have been resolved by now?

Seems like the plague should still be going - if it's cured, why is Old Korvosa being cut-off? If the plague is still going though, it makes things a bit tough on the players - the cleric will be spending a couple spells a day just to do Remove Disease, Restoration to cure damage.

Old Korvosa has been identified by the queen as an area with dangerous persons (to her plans) in it (including the PCs) Therefore when the plague has run it's course she can tell the rest of the city that it is still running wild in Old Korvosa and effectively put that part of the city under siege. until those dangerous persons starve to death

I don't know about your game but in mine, the party has 2 wands of Remove Disease (about 30 charges total) as well as several potions. While they have talked that perhaps soon they will be sharing some of those castings with the general pupulace (they only received 1 of the wands and some of the potions quite recently) they will still be hording enough of them for themselves for a while.

I worked the plague in, but the citizens of old Korvosa have self-segregated into have-plagues and have-not-plagues. So like about half the estalbishments are for plague bearers only and half for non-infected.
