The Galaxy is in turmoil. Luke Skywalker, once the Rebellion's greatest hero, has overthrown the Emperor and asscended to his throne. The Rebellion is in turmoil.

Across the galaxy, Emperor Skywalker's Imperial Knights and Imperial Shadows hunt down the remaining scraps of the Rebel Alliance. Meanwhile more and more planets fall into line, thanks to the honeied words of his force trained ambassadors. The flame of freedom that once had burned in the galaxy has been reduced to a dull ember.

Meanwhile, at the palace of Dulraga the Hutt, a strange meeting is taking place. A small band has been invited to what may turn out to be the most important meeting of their lives. As the fate of the galazy hangs in the balance, a strange bargin is about to be struck...

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

Veeta Senn has put on her best "disinterested grunt" face, but she's not sure how successful she is at disguising her unease. The greasy smell of Hutt has raised a number of unpleasant memories.

Unable to get a straight answer about the purpose of this meeting, she's resigned herself to something unpleasant. Sure, the rebellion's in dire straits these days, but allying with the Hutts? What's next - will the rebels hire a bunch of Trandoshans as computer technicians, or a tribe of Jawas to provide a security detail?

Senn busies herself by field-stripping her carbine. She could complete the task in her sleep, but pretends (probably poorly) to peer carefully at its inner workings, examining the focusing crystal for flaws even though she replaced it less than a week ago. If things go south at this meeting, she might have a chance to break it in on some Hutt hide ... but that's probably wishful thinking.

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

A young, blind man stands quietly in the foyer, dressed in common clothing. His head turns and scans the room as a sighted person's would, yet the man is clearly blindfolded by a strip of dark cloth.

He bears a travelling cloak, an unusal accessory for such an event, and appears weathered with dust from the road. He appears to carry no weapons on his person and is certainly not armored. After a few moments pass, he finds himself a seat with surprising ease and sits down, smiling to those near him.

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

Julhari is leaning against one of the walls casually, a bored look on her face. Anyone paying close enough attention however, can see that she is alert and watching the proceedings intently. She doesn't say much, prefering to leave the talking to those more suited to this kind of discussion.

Spoiler:
Han Solo puts his hand on Veeta's shoulder. "Don't worry kid," he says, "Leia just convinced the Hutts to facilitate this meeting. We aren't so desperate as to need their help yet.

Senn jumps in her seat as she recognizes the dark-haired man leaning against the wall next to her.

"Oh! I, um ... absolutely, General, sir! I didn't realize I ... I mean ..."
Senn takes a deep breath, snaps the power pack back into her carbine, then says: "Hutts just set my teeth on edge, sir. I'm sure General Organa knows what's she's doing. I'm just anxious to hear how I fit into it."

With a flick of her chin, she gestures to the others assembled in the room. "Who are these people, anyway? Not all of them are Rebels."

"No, but they are very good at what they do," Han says. "Times are changing and we need all the help we can get."

After everyone is seated, in walks the true force behind this meeting. Princess Leia Organa steps into the room and looks around. "Thank you all for coming," she says. "I have invited you here because you are all reputed to be some of the best in your particular fields. You have talents that can be useful to the Rebel Alliance, and you are known for having no love of the Empire. General Solo and I are putting together a team to handle special missions for the Alliance. We want you to be that team."

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

Julhari's ears perk up at this and her stance seems to straighten slightly. Her look of disinterest has now been replaced with one of near rapture as she listens intently to what the Princess has to say.

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

Visas inclines his head at the Princess's entrance and nods at her announcement. "It would be an honor, Princess."

He stands, smiling to those around him. "If we are to be working together, I think introductions are in order. I am Visas Marr."

He waits patiently for the others to answer, remaining standing as he scans the room.

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

Veeta knows "special missions" is generally code for "suicide" in such situations. But it beats hell out of hiding in underground bunkers reaking of sewage and starship fuel while the Empire hounds the Rebels from safehouse to safehouse.

"Staff Sergeant Veeta Senn, ready as ever, ma'am," she says, then scans the remaining faces in the room appraisingly.

Wonder which one will need to get patched up first? Looks like the blind one can see, somehow. And they all look light enough I could carry them two at a time, if it comes to that. I just hope some of them know which end of the blaster to point at the Storm Trooper.

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

Bowing respectfully, Julhari announces, "I am Julhari Maraan. Most people however, know me by the name Virginity 9. It is an honour to meet you Princess and I hope to live up to your high praise."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Just the three of us? I thought I saw a Jawa skittering around earlier?"
With a sideways glance first at General Solo, Veeta addresses the princess:
"What kind of skill sets will be needed for the missions, ma'am? Will insertion and removal services be provided, or will we be arranging our own transportation?
"If that's the case — I'm a decent pilot, but I'd feel better with a good technician or astromech riding shotgun."

"Transportation will be provided," Leia says. Then a dark haired, dark eyed man steps from out of the shadows. He is dressed entirely in black and has a grim look on his face. "This is Major Villian Dance, formerly of the Imperial Navy," the princess tells you. "He joined the Alliance after the destruction of Alderaan. He is also the best pilot the Alliance has."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Glad to hear it, ma'am," Senn says, turning to salute Major Dance. "Welcome aboard, Major. I've been on the other side of a few of your offensives, so it's good to have you on our team."

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

Julhari smiles at Veeta's comment about there only being three of us and then nods her head to the Major.

"It appears that you three are the only ones who responded to our invitation," Leia says. "However, Major Dance has many useful skills that will be helpful to you on your missions."

Male Human Noble 3/Scout 5

"Thank you for your vote of confidence princess," Major Dance says.

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"If we're all here, let's start talking objectives," Veeta says. "I assume we'll be engaging Imperial targets, or is there something else going on, your Highness?"

OOC to Julhari: Your stats are kinda wonky - your ability scores are too low (it's 30 point buy, then +1 to two scores at 4th level) and your other stats appear to be left over from a previous build - apparently a Jedi, judging from the defense bonuses, skills and non-proficiency penalty with your blaster. Just FYI

Yeah, I know.

The Ability Scores are correct (now at least, I had forgotten the +1's from Level 4, thanks). The rest however is all over the place because you are right, it was another character that I copied it off Vesper, my Jensaarai. I've just changed bits here and there. I haven't had the time to just sit down and copy it all out yet.

Stat Point Buy Costs:
STR - 2pts = 10
DEX - 10pts = 16 (+2 Cathar) = 18
CON - 5pts = 13 (+1 4th Level) = 14
INT - 6pts = 14 (-2 Cathar) = 12
WIS - 2pts = 10
CHA - 5pts = 13 (1 4th Level) = 14
Total 30pts

You should play if you can get access to SW Saga Rulebooks.

I think some of the other players have dropped out due to inactivity in the Discussion Thread over Christmas/New Years.

"Yes," the young blind man says. "I wish to know the details of our assignment. I will admit to some curiosity when I received the message of our meeting."

"There have been rumors that not every Jedi Master was killed during the purges," Leia says. "If there are survivors, they could be a great help to us. This droid contains the coordinates where one such survivor lived. Perhaps the information needed to locate others is there. It's your job to find out" A blue and white astromech droid rolls out from behind the princess, hooting happily.

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

Visas smiles as the droid enters. "Excellent. And where exactly are we headed, then?"

It bears mentioning that Visas understands Binary.

"Dagobah," Leia replies.

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Never heard of it," Veeta says. "Must be pretty backwater - I assume it's somewhere on the Rim? Hopefully far away from Imperial space."

"We'll need to be careful about our transportation," she adds. "If the Imperials catch wind of this, or we're flying a hot ship they can connect to the Rebellion, they'll just follow us right to the wizard ... er, Jedi."

Valegrim: We're using the new SAGA edition. The discussion thread can be found here if you're interested.

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

The young man scratches his chin. "Hmm, I must confess no familiarity with the system myself, though Astrometrics was never my strong suit. Regardless of that fact, if this is what the Rebellion needs, then I am ready to lend my aid to the cause. What type of planet is it and what do we know of its inhabitants?"

Leia frowns. "As far as we know Dagobah has no permanent settlements and no indiginous sentient species. It is mostly jungle and swamp, and it is off the beaten path."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Sounds like a good place to hide," Veeta says. "How'd the droid scope the Jedi camping out there? If the Empire had found it, they'd have torched the place from orbit if they thought a Jedi was even in the sector."

A look of sadness crosses Leia's face, "The Emperor, Luke, trained there with a Jedi master named Yoda. Just after he completed his training Master Yoda passed away. We believe that Luke has not been back since, nor have his agents. However, there is only one way to be sure."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"So the Emperor knows about this planet? And we're going to waltz in an go through the garbage looking for some dead Jedi Master's comlink directory?" Veeta grins wolfishly. "Sounds like fun."

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

"We have reason to believe that other surviving Jedi may have made some kind of pilgrimmage to this place, then? If Master Yoda is truly dead, then do we know of any others he instructed there?"

"We have no reason to believe that Yoda trained any other students on Dagobah, or that he was contacted by other Jedi there," Leia admits. "However he was the most powerful Jedi of his time and the head of the Jedi Council. If anyone would have sensed the survival of other Jedi, it would have been Yoda."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Well, we better hope he wrote it down in his diary whenever he had one of those hocus-pocus hunches."

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

"This sounds like a wild mynock chase, but a hunt is a hunt, whatever the prey. It has the feeling of all kinds of fun, especially if the Empire gets involved."

Julhari understands Basic and Shyriiwook perfectly, but as Basic is secondary language that she picked up during her late teens she can sometimes get words mixed up when speaking it (take her handle for example) and obviously she can't speak Shyriiwook.

Male Human Noble 3/Scout 5

"We had better get going if we want to avoid traffic," Villian says with an awkward grin. He leads the way to the Hutt's private hanger. In one berth is one of the most famous starships in the galaxy the Millineum Falcon. Next to it is a battered YZ-775 with the name "Blood Eagle" written on the side. "That's our ride," Villian says pointing to the Blood Eagle.

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

"Blood Eagle, hm? I hope this is not an omen," the blind man says flatly. "Still, I am sure she is a fine ship. Let us be on our way if time is of the essence. I have everything I need."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Does everyone have survival gear?" Veeta asks, hefting her own bag. "We could probably use some extra firepower, too. Any Imperials we run into aren't likely to be inspectors."

"Oh, and — Shotgun!"

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

"Ah, good thought. I hadn't really thought to bring my own survival gear. I assumed that our patrons would be providing us with such provisions since we were not given much in the way of mission intelligence," he turns his head to look at Leia and the others. "As for weaponry, I believe I have that well in hand."

The man bears with him a small traveling bag, no larger than would be expected for a casual tourist.

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

Julhari hefts a Flight Helmet, some guns and a bag. "I have my gear here and so am ready to leave."

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3
Veeta Senn wrote:
"Oh, and — Shotgun!"

"I have my own weapons and so I do not need this Shotgun you wish to have. Therefore you are welcome to it as long as the others have no objections."

The Blood Eagle is actually quite spacious inside. It was designed with a much larger contengent in mind, and as a result you each end up with your own quarters. Takeoff goes smoothly and you easily navigate through the space traffic around Nar Shadda. As soon as you are able, Major Dance launches the ship into hyperspace.

Male Human Noble 3/Scout 5

"The coordinates in this old R2 unit are practically ancient," Villian says. "Still I was able to get usable information. You might as well get comfortable. The navicomputer says it will take us almost a standard week to get there.

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

"Very well. I suppose we have a lot of time on our hands then," he smiles. "My name is Visas Marr. I am... or, perhaps, was a Jedi."

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"Huh? I thought Vader killed off all the Jedi except Lu... er, the new Emperor," Veeta says, peering at the blind man with a mix of curiosity and caution. "I thought the only other Force users were Dark Siders and amateurs."

"I remember there was an old mid-wife on my homeworld who claimed to use the Force for healing, but she wasn't a Jedi. My brother used to have these, uh, visions, and could make spanners float around or flip switches back, but he never had any formal training, either."

Male Miraluka Jedi 5

"I was very young when the others and I fled the Temple, but I was trained by some of the older Jedi while in exile. I consider myself to be a Jedi, even if no such formal title was bestowed upon me by one of the Masters. I am also versed in the use of my lightsaber, something that many amateurs cannot claim," the blind man smiles slightly.

Female Human (Near-Human) Soldier 3/Scout 3

"That what you have in the little bag, then? I've seen General Sky... well, they seem pretty effective, if you can get close enough."

"Glad to hear that you're armed, at least," Veeta says, then grimaces. "I was worried you were some sort of diplomat."

"What exactly are your, uh, talents, by the way?" she asks, her apprehension easing as she steers the conversation turns more familiar, tactical matters.

"I probably mentioned it back there, but I know my way around a firefight and I'm comfortable taking point, rear-guard or vanguard, whatever suits the rest of you. I've piloted most of the starfighters used by the Rebellion and a few transports, spent time as a commando and can patch blaster burns - although if we run into a Wookiee, you're on your own. My med-kits no good with severed limbs."

Female Cathar Noble 1 Scout 1 Soldier 3

Julhari listens to the interactions carefully before adding her own piece.
"I was raised as both a warrior and a noble, but left my home to pursue an adventurous life. I began my career as an Apprentice Bounty Hunter, but after Vader killed my Teacher I gathered with the Rebellion to inflict Justice upon the Empire. Since then I have performed many tasks and am well versed in martial abilities."
