[Variant] Battle Sorcerer

Additional Rules

Yep, the Battle Sorcerer is OGL. So I was wondering if a brief table or note could be made to this variant to allow us an armored caster type. Personally I think adding shields to being ignored would go a long way.

Perhaps this, or the pathfinder version, same template could be applied to the wizard class as well?

Anyone else with me on this one?

Yes... except this point was quite thoroughly talked up during the class discussion and there isn't much else to say.

It would be nice to se a Pathfinder updated variant. I am on it.

Considering the power level of the new Sorcerer, I would say the use of shield with out Arcane Spell chance failure and using a weapon for semantic components would be nice. That way they can use a Sword and board if they want.

OH an sense they are proficient armored casters, they should get medium armor training even if they can't cast ignoring the armor. I heard that they are removing the proficiency thing with armor and mithral armor, so even though it counts as light armor for everything, its not for proficiency.

So here I think is the end list I think.

Medium Armor Proficiency
Semantic Weapon/Shield
Light/Heavy Armor arcane spell chance ignoring

I think that should do it.

If that isn't enough, maybe +3 to fort saves over the 20 levels? +1 at 1st, 10th, and 19th?

ACK sorry that is light and heavy shield arcane spell chance ignoring, not armor.
