Hi,
I've got a "problem" with Vencarlo and his capture by the Arkona.
Page 11: Cressida received a missive from Vencarlo the morning of the story.
Page 13, the PC find the academy burned RECENTLY (we can think that the red mantis burned the academy the day before),
Page 16: Amin talked about the fact thaht days before Rec mantis attecked the academy, Vencarlo met Salvator.
Page 56: it is noted: "Vencarlo orisini has languished here for DAYS!"
How can it be possible? Even if the PC will take 2-3 days between Cressida told them about the missive, I find it very strange in fact.
Moreover, I'm not sure that the fact that Amin lived in the mainland and asked the PC to bring him back to home is logical, because, if it's a quarantine, it's difficult to go from Old Korvosa to mainland and if I allow the PC to do such a thing, they would find that the Gre Mayden are not a risk (even if they are a lot), so I prefer to make Amin came from the Old Dock.

I can understand the concerns, and i shared a couple of them when i ran this segment. However I figure with an irregular as even modern mail sometimes is, getting the missive a day or two later than it was written is not unbelievable. so a possibility of two days, especially by the time the PCs prepare and get over to old Korvosa, you are probably talking about a further day.
A "recent" fire, could easily be within a week, especially if it hasn't rained to wash some of the soot and debris away. Though in this case i assumed 2-3 days.
The adventure assumes they follow the train of evidence and go after salvador first. following the clues from Armin. Then from there if they pair up with Laori to the Emperor of old Korvosa.
this can quite easily add another couple days especially if they get captured by the emperors guards.
While it is feasible your PCs might go directly to the arkonas first either out of figuring that they are the most likely to be able to help or a "locate person/object" spell there are a few ways you can get around this. First have the Arkona's reveal none of their knowledge yet and have them offer to help the PCs if they simply take care of the Emperor first. Second, a lining of lead around the cells will avoid the detection spell.
So, assuming he gets caught right away at the fire having gone to the arkona's that day days is possible after all, days only means at least 2. and that's assuming the PCs break him out right away. Every group is different, they follow different tactics. You can always adjust things as needed to accommodate the play style. And.... Old Korvosa is under quarantine, people are desperate, some of the plague is likely still here in parts, no food has been coming in, riots, gangs.... the PCs will not have an easy time of moving from place to place. Even if they DO know right where to go each time.
