Would there me any benefit to putting a number on exactly how persuasive Charm Person makes you? Invisibility gives you +40 to Stealth checks (p396), why not do the same for [i]Charm Person[i]?

And if so, would this same bonus (or a different) be appropriate for other charm and compulsion spells? What about Bluff and illusions?

Note: There is some precedence for this with many magic items now granting skill bonuses - Boots of Elvenkind, Boots of Springing and Striding, Cloak of Elvenkind, etc.

Also consider having other people on your side does help an argument, so even if you don't Charm your target, you can use charmed people to support it.

Glibness grants a bonus to Bluff.
