apologies for the tangent, my bet is on the wizard, unless the fighter is fighting the monster trucks from the outside, in which case many 4 wheel drive butts will be kicked!! Woo!
I have to think that race will play a greater role than class. I have to give a sizable advantage to dwarves and gnomes, so for example, I'd say a gnomish wizard beats out an elven fighter, even though a dwarven fighter handily defeats an elvish wizard.
Assuming that the combatants are of the same race, I give it to the fighter if the trucks are standard transmission. If the trucks are automatic transmission, it goes to the wizard, as he could steer with his knees and cast with his hands (hey, if they can tumble and cast ...)
