So information before we get to far:
All conjuration (calling, summoning, and teleportation) spells have ceased to function. Divination spells that contact extraplanar beings (commune and contact other plane for example) are likewise foiled. Divine spellcasters cast all spells at –4 caster levels and when praying for new spells, they have a 20% chance per spell of losing it. Last, turning and rebuking attempts take a –20 penalty on the check and damage rolls.
*I thought I posted this earlier, but looks like I forgot or it was eaten.

I'd like to give this a try.
I'm thinking of an unarmed fighter type.
Do you have Book of 9 Swords?
(For feats and a class level.)
If you do, do you have Arcana Evolved? (I'd like a feat from it and I could show it to you if you'd like.)
What races are allowed?
Looking for Changeling... :)
Do you have Complete Warrior and PHB II?
Thanks.

Be warned, my stats will need microscopic checking. I'll get something up as soon as I can, but I'm bad at building 3.5/PF pcs. My son is on the case (12 year olds know everything about power builds and feat choosing to overcome situations where the cleric has to turn at -20). He does have to do homework however.

Lazaro,
Grooviness.
Changeling race ok?
The Arcana Evolved feat lets you enchant your hands like they were weapons, paying the costs as if enchanting a weapon.
Could I get it?
(I can email it to you if you want to see it for review. Email in profile.)

Hi there. As per posted in the Connection forum I'm onboard. Pretty sure I'll go for the ol human paladin if that works. Beyond that I'm not sure what else for the character concept. Any stuff re the campaign setup to get juices flowing? Where in Oerth? Should we know the other characters or should this be the first time we're working together?

The party has been working together for the past eight years. As the adventure begins the group finds itself in the southern part of the Yatil Mountains. They've just returned from their last adventure; Seeking and obtaining an important gem, that was on the plane of shadow. Unfortunatly the gem was destroyed during the final battle.

Do you have Complete Scoundrel? (If so can we use it?)
For the Party
So... we know each other and have worked together.
Should we discuss tactics and other things now or is it too early?
I'm making an unarmed warrior type so I do not expect to be dealing the most damage. If I have some space for feats would be taking Improved Trip or some other feat be helpful to any of you?

Sure, Fray.
At this level, we should know each other... at least by reputation.
<Dusts off copy of Greyhawk Gazetteer>
So what happened to Mordenkainen and the Circle? Are they the first casualties in this doomsday scenario? Hence, the job of saving the world devolves to us, the PCs?
I'll try to post my character sheet tonight.
Character Concept - highly mobile artillery with decent melee abilities.

As for special materials for weapons, or special magic componets that comes from your pocket.
Sorry don't have Complete Scoundrel. No to the regional feat awell. Never got aroung to grabbing those books.
A little info, sorry if it seems rushed. Just woke up and trying to piece it together.
The paradox began many years ago. It started as a fiery glyph in the sky. The party at the time was already assembled. Making names for themselves as famed explorers and adventurers. It wasn't until the group found an obsidan like gem that their involvment in the story began.
As time passed though the sign began to intensify. Scholars from all around were unable to make any since of it.
That was until a friend of the groups, Jallarzi made a discovery. She believed that the glyph was divine in origin, and was made to seal something away. After disappearing in the Forgotten City, the party went to investigate. They found their former friend, twisted to into an ungodly abberation.
Armed with with information Jallarzi gathered before her transformation. The sign was meant to to prevent the release of Tharizdun, the Elder Elemental Eye. The key to the Ebon Gods return are the 333 gems of Tharizdun.
The part set back home, but not before noticing the sign had gained strength again. Teleportation and conjuration was becoming almost impossible. Upon their return the party was meet by associates of Jallarzi, the Circle of Eight. After much talk and cross-refrencing of information, Mordenkainen suggests the party explore former strongholds of Tharizdun's to see if they can learn of some way to stop the impending apocalypse.
During your journeys to Crater Ridge, the Temple of Elemental Evil, and many other places (including a plane or two); You found that the sign could be weakened. According to an ancient Flanese tablet after the destruction of 111 gems the sign power would wane. With this information the Circle began gathering heroes willing to find and seek out the gems.
The party also learned that Tharizdun sought their death. During an exploration of an ruined temple the party was attacked by a tielfling assassin. It wasn't until after his retreat that the party realized they recognized the monster. Giorge Forsworn.
He and his group, The Green Horn Adventuring Troupe. Were one of many to take up the call to search for the gems. He was one of the best woodsman around, and also human. Tharizdun 'touch' warped him, and as they explored more they found it was warping the land itself.
The game begins the party arriving from their last mission. Seeking a gem hidden in the plane of shadow.
So far the the party, with the help of the Circle, has destroyed or found 45 of the gems.

Plane of Shadow? With the magical limitation imposed, the party might have a problem going there unless we have the right spell for the occassion.
The Archwizards Trilogy gave me an idea.
For Lazaro

Shadow Walk, the spell, apparently you travel the fringes of the plane of shadow when you use it. Hence, if you just detour a little, you're there.
For Lazaro

Still in process of building guy but here's link to profile with stats thus far.
Jahangir profile
Background wise I'm thinking that Jahangir is from the Yatil Mountains area. A member of the True Faith dedicated to Al'Akbar. A bit of a mountain-man/hermit who abandoned the aesthetic life to become involved in the world, actively fight for good etc.
Just wanted to clarify the equipment question. Am I correct in understanding that you don't want us to purchase magical items? Just mundane weapons/gear? Or did you mean that standard mundane gear doesn't cost us but that magical items/weapons do? Sorry if I'm being a bit dense but just wanted to make sure of your wording.

Mudane gear doesn't cost anything. Magic items do. Sorry for the confusion
