Can these feats scale in some way please, even if its just an additional +1 at some level, the feat right now is such a trap for players. they take it when they need the boost, and later when they don't need it because they hit with their attacks reliably its just a waste of a feat slot.
My suggestion. GWF could do something similar.
Weapon Focus (Combat)
Choose one type of weapon. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple (or ray, if you are a spellcaster) as your weapon for purposes of this feat.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon. This bonus increases by +1 for every 5 points of base attack bonus to a maximum of +5 at base attack bonus +20.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon.

GWF could do something similar.
Since GWF has a "Fighter Level 8th" requirement (unlike WF, which has a BAB requirement), it should scale a little differently (using Fighter level as the scaling factor).
Of course, once you start stacking all these scaled bonuses on top of one another, you turn your character into an auto-hitter and that can potentially take alot of fun out of the game.
Greater Weapon Focus (Combat)
Choose one type of weapon for which you have already selected Weapon Focus. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple as your weapon for purposes of this feat. You are a master at your chosen weapon.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, Weapon Focus with selected weapon, fighter level 8th.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon. This bonus stacks with other bonuses on attack rolls, including the one from Weapon Focus. This bonus increases by +1 for every 4 levels of Fighter beyond 8th levev to a maximum of +4 at Fighter level 20.
Special: You can gain Greater Weapon Focus multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon.

I would agree with this, however, we already have a game system in which offense outstrips defense, often resulting in auto-hits at higher levels. I really wouldn't want to do anything to make that worse.
That's a concern of mine as well, but if that's the case then an easy solution is to get rid of greater weapon focus, or make it do something different and then make weapon focus gain the +1 at 8th level that GWF would have cost you and have GWF do something like lower miss chance from concealment by 5-10% That would make both feats a lot more useful and a lot less of a trap tree for your feats.
Then if you have Weapon focus and greater, you'd still have the same +2 you would have had and a 5-10% better chance of hitting concealed creatures.
