Skills - too simplified

Skills and Feats

This is the list of Skill I now use. It's a mix of PF improvements and 3.5 staples.
The PF Beta Skill list is too short and some of the changes are not improvements. I would like to see PF stay away from over simplifying rules, WotC appear to have that corner of the market covered.

Tell me, why don't you bring back, decipher script, gather information, listen, spot, and speak languages too?

Only one on that list i would use is search. All the others are fine as is

very constructive.

Because they aren't needed. Example, Having Tumble, Jump and Balance rolled into one is too much, imo.
PF is about making 3.5 better, not making it 4.0. I for one can handle more skills than FP currently offers, and would like more. Some of the changes are "changes for changes sake" and not improvments.

Sure the Skills needed tweeking but I feel they were over tweeked. Lets fix the broken parts, not the unbroken ones.

Liberty's Edge

i like pathfinder skills as they are now
i just want craft to be less limited, that profession has an effect on the world and perform to be useful

I agree....(to paraphrase goldilocks) 3.5 is too long, 4.0 is too short, and pathfinder is juuuusst right.

I'm sorry, but the previous skill system was TOO complicated. The current one is good (though, I'd like to see climb removed) I see Pathfinder as trying to get a system fixed, not trying to "avoid 4e".
