Use the art of James Ryman

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Not that I have anything against Steve Prescott or Wayne Reynolds, as I love those artists' work, but it seems that Paizo is switching around the cover artists of the Pathfinder APs periodically to free up the artists for other projects (such as the Campaign Setting and Gods & Magic for Wayne Reynolds).

When you are no longer using Steve Prescott, could you please have James Ryman paint the covers to an AP? That would make this art fanboy very pleased!

Thanks for your time.

Dark Archive

Agreed.

Is it just me, or does Seoni look like a guy on the Children of the Void cover?

The Exchange

I like James' artwork a lot (especially his Dungeon Covers #137 and #149).

I'd also like to see a series of covers done by Eva Widermann. And given that I'm regularly blown away by Andre Hou's awesome pieces on the pages of Pathfinder, or Ben Wootten, or...

Hm, and now I have the feeling I should add how much I adore Wayne Reynolds and Steve Prescott. Those two sold me to the Eberron Setting.

That's true for Pathfinder either. So far the art has been a tremendous help for visualizing Golarion and its inhabitants. Keep up the good work!

I met Eva at Gencon UK... She had some great art work...and is a extremely nice person

But..I would like to add... Wow... she is one attractive woman!

I've been intending to suggest James Ryman for awhile now. So let me jump on board. And not just on the AP covers... I wouldn't mind seeing his art anywhere.

The blog on the Ryman covers is spot on. These are my favorite covers, and they evoke the best of the classic pulp covers. I think it would be worth it to have him go back and do a cover for Ginger Star (assuming they're successful enough) now, before Ryman becomes more expensive, so we'd have it for future printings. So yes, I'd love to see more of him, wherever Paizo would use them.

I have to agreed with the general sentiment with regards to Ryman. Great stuff!

With regard to the APs and such, I would prefer artists that do not make humanoid faces child-like, unless of course it is a child they are representing.

I would love to see the artist who did the famous magic mouth picture do some work for Pathfinder. That picture is DnD.

Michael Komark would be awesome as well.
