Wow. Go Jason! You lucky dog!
Thanks for the thoughts. I've always been a big AQ fan and am actually just finishing up an AQ campaign I've run for about a year, using classes I updated for 3.5, so something in this AP was right up my alley. Hopefully we should have some Harryhausen-style awesomeness and folks will have fun. I shall endeavor to be worthy of my post.

I'm really excited for this AP. Al Qadim is one of my favorite settings also. I'm really excited to see what you come up with (and the Paizo folks, and Wolfgang Bauer!)
Now for the long wait.

"Earth genies" used to be dao; are they something different now; I assume due to SRD....
Yup. Dao were created by EGG (a warping of "tao" apparently), not natively part of genie myth like djinn, ifrit, and marid.
So Paizo has created their own earth genies, which I was happy to stat up and which will actually be appearing in an earlier AP.
I don't know that I'm supposed to say more about them in advance of their appearance, but I will throw out this nugget that amuses me about them:
They have Profession (lawyer) +10
Careful with that genie contract, eh? :)

Now that this one has been announced, congrats to Jason. It's in very good hands with him. :)
That said, I can't wait to see the proteans that'll be showing up in this particular AP episode (I'll be writing up the ecology for them in this issue). And Jason knows which particular ones I'm talking about since he worked out the stat blocks for them.
