Why are there no PDFs for sale for Dragon issues later than #345? I'd love to be able to buy issue #351 to copy and paste the pictures from Larissa's Isle of Dread Journal for the translation I'm preparing for my players.

Because either Paizo hasn't cared enough to pursue clarification or extension of their former license to produce such PDFs, or WotC has told Paizo that it cannot produce the PDFs at all despite recognition that these later issues are not available as PDFs.

Thanks for the information. I did it the hard way and scanned the images, although it was quite some work to remove the brown background. My handout was a success anyway!

I believe you severely overestimate the likelihood.

Our license ran out before we were able to get those PDFs made. Now we can't make those PDFs because this material is property of Wizards of the Coast. At this point if PDFs of these issues are ever to be made, they would have to be produced by WotC.
Thanks,

Paizo has yet to answer the question about whether or not it has attempted to pursue a continued limited license to produce PDFs of those last issues or whether or not it is even interested in doing so. Seriously, if Paizo isn't interested, just say so.

Considering they had to ask for an extension just to get those magazines in print, I don't forsee
1) Wizards extending it again2) Wizards Licensing anything that isn't 4.crud

What Cpt_kirstov said. Why would WotC want to show any more support for 3.x?
There's a post a year back where the Paizo staff discussed Wizards pulling their licenses on Dungeon and Dragon magazines. It's not an issue if Paizo's interested or not: it legally can't. Again, you want Paizo to print those last few issues? Badger Wizards.

I understand what you're saying, but we can't and shouldn't presume WotC doesn't want those final issues produced as PDFs; it's of no benefit to us to presume such.
With regards to badgering Wizards, I have been, but it's no use badgering Wizards to extend a limited license to Paizo if producing those PDFs is not in Paizo's interest.
Essentially, I'm trying to figure out what my request to Wizards should be.
a) WotC, please let Paizo produce the remaining PDFs.
b) WotC, please produce (and somehow sell) the remaining PDFs (despite the fact that Paizo seems to have a license to sell all of the other PDFs already created).
c) WotC, please pull in entire ownership and distribution of PDFs from Paizo, produce the remaining PDFs, and sell them somewhere online by either creating your own storefront or as items available from DriveThruRPG.com/RPGNow.com.

Trust me, it would totally be in Paizo's best interests to be able to produce those PDFs. Totally. I would do it in a heartbeat if I had the rights to do so. But I don't and I don't anticipate that Wizards is going to let me, even if there is a loud outcry from customers. They just don't want to make more stuff available that doesn't support 4e.

Thank you, Lisa. That's the answer I've been looking for.

Is this speculation or assumption, or have the vocalized this directly to you in specific regards to these PDFs?
