Just wondering if there are plans for a Pathfinder Character Folio? I'd love to see one. Always found the past ones useful, but more as a download rather than a printed product (that way it can be put into a binder, additional pages can be printed when needed, etc.) ... mind you, I'd also love to see it as a free download rather than a buy product, but then I've always thought that a nice folio should be offered as a promotional piece ;)

I would definately like to see this as a PDF offer. I loved Green Ronin's 3.5 Character Folio, but the borders of the pages were to fancy for my tastes. Too much ink used in printing.
The GR one was nice ... I'd almost like to see someone like Mad Irishman design the folio and maybe make it with and without a parchment style background.

Explain what you mean by Folio? A fancy character sheet?
A little more than that. It's more of a record of your character's stats, adventures, equipment, allies, enemies and pretty much anything else that can go with it ;)
I had ran into them at the beginning of 3e with the one that Green Ronin made for D&D, then the Silver Age Sentinels one and M&M ones. Really nice resource for the player :)| neceros |
Anything similar to this: http://www.neceros.com/forum/index.php?automodule=downloads&showfile=15
If so, I could refit my Pathfinder Sheet and include an Extended, or Folio, version. Pathfinder sheet here: http://www.neceros.com/forum/index.php?automodule=downloads&showfile=16

Not quite ... the one's that I've seen are about 16 pages long and include things like background, experience tracker, an ally/group page and an enemy page. VERY handy.

What exactly is the advantage of this over excel, or a word processor, or for that matter, a pencil and paper and just printing out notes, updates?
I know I would much rather spend my money on a new sourcebook, adventure, miniature, etc. Then again, I fully understand that I'm not the only type of customer out there and that tastes vary.

Having an excel file that could do that would be great as well. The main advantage is having it in an organized space that could either be printed out or bought. I've found in the past that folios are very handy for players, as it gives them a one stop shop for their character's info and the fact that it's all formatted in a similar fashion. I guess it's the designer in me that likes the sheets, but my players tend to dig them as well.

I agree ... which is why I'd love to see a folio done as free downloadable support or as an inexpensive PDF. Or even as a free PDF and maybe a paid print book.
