Gorrath fires at the helmsmen, hitting him once, Haedric finishes the job with two solid hits to the chest.Triage and Synatria bring one of the men on the ground down with a few well places shots, as jaxs runs out from cover Joyelle puts an arrow in the last airmen s shoulder as jax's flask flys. Fire engulfs the airman he rolls on the ground screaming as the fire burns the dead field around him.
Your map, everyone ya can see is dead, sept the guy screaming in the fire

Joyelle Reynardine |

"OK, we should move quickly. I say four of us stand guard around the ship, in case anyone is below decks. The other two set fire to the thing, then we get out of here as soon as we're sure it'll burn."
"Got it. I'll stand guard. Let's get this thing destroyed," she says with a grin.

Joyelle Reynardine |

"Perhaps before we so vigorously destroy this engine of war - we can salvage some weapons and/or supplies?"
Triage pauses, resting his crossbow on his shoulder.
"Or we may find intelligence that would be useful to our forces?"
"Well sure," she says with a sigh and an eye roll. "If you're going to go and be all logical about it."
"Guys, what's your call? Search then burn, or just burn?"
Garroth Ur'Than |

"<sigh>Very well. We should search first, I guess. Besides, I suppose I can find something to do ..." Garroth pulls out his dagger (or retrieves it) and proceeds to make sure all of the Karrnathi are truly dead. "We should pile the bodies on the ship as well." He comments to no one in particular.
Garroth will start piling bodies on the ship after each one he makes sure is dispatched.

Haedric Korvin |

"No," she says in a flat, dead voice. "No piling up the bodies. I don't care what else you do with them, but no putting them into a pile."
"Fine, we'll lay them all out. Just as long as they all get burned, it works. We can't afford to let a necromancer get ahold of them."

"Fine by me." All traces of amusement have been erased from her face to be replaced by a cold, emotionless expression.

Synatria looks a bit quizzically at Joyelle. "Why--nevermind. We probably shouldn't burn it, anyways, because there'd be smoke. We'll just damage it a lot. Move the bodies into the barn. We're not trying to fight the entire army head on, remember?"

Jax of Cyre |

Jax shakes his head"What in the hell are we doing squabbling? Garroth, Triage, Come with me, we'll Search the interior for anything important. The rest of you gather up the bodies, Joyelle, get over whatever it is that's bugging you. You're a soldier and things have to be done in times of war that no one likes. We're dealing with a necromantic threat. We have to burn the bodies. I already started on that." He states with a smile pointing at the charred remains of the airman."Pile the bodies up on the ship. Or you can lay them out side by side and read them their last rights Soldier." He says looking at Joyelle."They'll burn just the same. And Synatria, these things burn all the time in crash landings. Notice the big ring of fire? Karnath will likely never know any better, and if they do, we'll be well on our way to taking that tower. With Karnath making a move, they can't afford to send any force larger than we can deal with." He materializes his hammer and motions for Garroth and Triage and moves stealthfully into the interior of the ship."Eyes and ears open." He reminds the soldiers.

Garroth Ur'Than |

Garroth simply nods at Jax, and follows him into the ship. He doesn't bother with stealth, as anyone inside will obviously know they're there, but he does keep his eyes open. He also forgoes drawing another weapon, as he trusts his own fists more than a blade.

Joyelle Reynardine |

Synatria gets a bit uneasy as she speaks. "All we have to do is sufficiently damage this ship, and...cut up the bodies. That would remove any threat."
"No," she says in the same dead voice. "We burn the bodies. We burn the ship. We don't leave them anything they can use to kill more of our people. We do not pile them up first. They burn just as well laid out side by side. Better really."
Joyelle proceeds to strip the bodies of anything useful and lay them out on the deck of the ship, side by side. She works silently and efficiently.

Synatria frowns as Joyelle. "Reynardine, I don't know what personal issues you have here, but put them aside. It could jeopardize our mission if someone sees smoke and comes to investigate. The signs of a fight are too evident. We can't burn it. It's too risky."

"Burning the bodies has nothing to do with my personal issues. I'm just following orders. You want to argue with the rest, then go ahead. Not my problem."
There is no sign of any emotion in either her voice or her facial expression. She continues to lay out the bodies, carefully stripping them of useful gear first.

"Well, we are going to be blowing up one of their towers. Still, hopefully they won't know we're there until it's coming down around their ears. We can't let them get the ship back. I think I could produce enough acid to destroy the lumber they were using for repairs, and I could probably put a hole in the hull if I had a few minutes."

Keeper of Forbidden Lore |

Jax and Garroth make there way though the ship. It is clear once Inside this shallow vassal it is a war ship . While large on the outside, the inside has little in they way of space, mostly reinforced beams. Adding to the newness of the design is the smell of fresh wood and unlived in ships. While not airmen you have been in enough dragonflys to know the smell of a well used airship, this one seems new.
They layout of the ship is simple and small there are two small cabins one seems shared, a small galley and another small locked room. , a cargo area and what looks to be a drop bay. The cargo area has a few crates mostly looks to be ammo for the ships bows and supply's for the crew. The ships drop bay seem odd, with racks above them , 2 round barrel like devices sit in the two racks above these drop bays.
After braking thought the Locked door, you find yourself in what seems to be a weapons locker. 4 Karrnath crossbows sit on a rack , some seem to be missing the ones outside no dought. A crate of clips, 40 all told sits in the floor, as door a small rack of 8 short swords.
The shared cabin has two bunks and two small foot lockers. The contain, letters and some clothing and all told 46 gold and 27 silver. Along with a fine bottle of colon and well made dagger with a crest on it.
The main cabin however seems to have mush more interesting things, besides the captains locker, which holds 100 gold 29 silver , a well made sextent and compass as well as pearl handled shaving kit and a few letters . The room holds the ships log, as well as what looks to be detailed maps of the boarder, looks to have troop movements and ship deployments marked as well as a few bases you have no knowledge of. another book seems to be written in some code, it lists dates and numbers but other then that you can not tell much.
Yes this ship has a few secrets indeed.
Ok guys putting the ship out of action is not easy. Its a war ship meant to take a bounding, knocking holes in the hull wont do much unless you spent some real time busting beams and collapsing the ship inward. The ring damage brought her down for repairs, not hull damage. Now braking the spine or collapsing the hull will do it, however 8-12 weeks could repair ta broken spine, far less with magic. Destroying the ring will do it, however it will release the bound Fire elemental...it is not a small one. Fire will also do it, but once it reaches the ring...it also will release the fire elemental

Jax of Cyre |

Jaxon's eyes light up with a sense of urgency as he pores over the detailed border maps as well as the other documents and especially the encrypted information. He glances warily back at Garroth. " I think We might need to relay this information back to base...How many of those sending stones we got?" He inquires as he set about gathering up lightweight valuables.
" I think I'll give this dagger to the Elf out there. Maybe it'll cheer her @ass up." He says to Garroth more than the Warforged. Noticing his lack of attention payed to the warforged he offers Triage the ship's log."See what you can find out about this thing. It's new, and contains a lot of Information...I don't like it much."
He states, his thoughts racing."How hard you think one of these things would be to fly?" He asks, although it's quite obvious he doesn't expect an answer. "I bet the spell-slinger would have a better idea than me."He tells himself. "Haedric!Could you come in here Soldier?" He calls out as he looks cautiously over the controls.

Haedric Korvin |

Haedric goes belowdecks. "How hard would it be to pilot this? Shouldn't be that hard to figure out. Still, that wouldn't help any. The elemental ring is damaged; it's the only reason they touched down in the first point."

Haedric
It looks as if most the work has been done, your not sure how much of a hit it can take as it is jury rigged. And even that is not finished but she should hold together. And if not they had time to land with a broken strut.
As for flying your not sure, but if it's like the dragon fly's it takes concentration more then anything.
In other words, an arcane or will check will get her up, but without the fly skill you will not be about to do anything fancy. Wide turns slow climb, steady movement and very careful landings, however she hovers like she does now on her own. Long as you take your time you can make it fly just not like it would with a trained pilot and full crew.....clumsy but airborne

Garroth Ur'Than |

Garroth takes Haedric back to the drop bay, and points out the two barrel-like devices. "What do you make of these? My guess is some sort of explosive."
To Jax's question about the sending stones, he says "I still have one with two charges left from ... the last time. So we should have two, although I'm unsure what the duration is and if we could relay all of this information back at once."
To everyone on the ship, "We all still have feather fall tokens left; maybe flying this thing isn't such a bad idea. Especially if Haedric figures out what those two barrels do."

Haedric Korvin |

"Well, explosives are the most likely...", he says as he stares up at the barrels

Triage |

Triage leafs through the logs and maps.
"This is a gold mine of information!" He hands the map of the border region to Jax, "This may help us in navigating to our objective without engaging any further opposition."
He takes a moment to consider something, then adds, "We should make sure that this cabin is destroyed by fire at the very least. To make it appear that these documents were destroyed in fire, rather than stolen. We don't want them changing codes before our cryptos have had a chance to crack this one!"
I'm not concerned about the rest of the 'treasure' ;) should we spread the documents out amongst ourselves? (to prevent the loss of all of them ;) If we want Triage can make rough copies of the map during the night too, as he doesn't need to sleep.

Jax of Cyre |

Jaxon looks quizzically upon the barrels."Let's not get any ideas of grandeur. By our very nature, Stealth, speed and subtlety are our best friends. I'm not sure if Bombing our target is the best idea."He states rubbing his gray chin."On the other hand I can't deny the kind of confusion it would cause on an undermanned tower to be bombed by a ship they perceive as their own. Not to mention what kinda damage it might do if we unleashed the fire elemental once we we're over the tower. Then we could feather fall in, quickly dispersing or avoiding any resistance that isn't bomb fodder or tied up with an elemental, planting our charges and ah-" He sighed, his ramblings brought to an end by a realization" Recovering Intel from the tower is a big part of this mission, it might be reckless to very possibly destroy possibly important info in such an assault. But then again-- He finds himself uncharacteristically lost in his indecisiveness, and continues to ramble and discuss strategies with himself for sometime.

Keeper of Forbidden Lore |

Haedric
Your not sure what they are, explosives seems likely. However you are also not sure what sets them off. Impact? Trigger word? Being dropped from the hold? and not sure how deadly they are. And why just 2 the racks all told could easily hold ten times that number. The other racks do not even look used, no scuff marks, no scratches nothing
6 feet by 4 feet is the size by the way

1. the ship is a brand new type , this is the 2nd out of the yard
2. the ship had a shake down crew the captain was not happy to be undercrewed
3. The ship had cargo stated for Karrlakton. 2nd largest city in Karrnath and it's industrial center
4. The ship stumbled across a fight got drawn in captain was not happy with a new ship being damaged

Garroth Ur'Than |

Once everyone is together, Garroth informs those topside what we found below. "We feel that these barrels are some sort of weapon. We must get them back to Cyre, to study and maybe even copy. Carrying them with us is not an option. The information we have obtained, plus these barrels, may even take precedence over the original mission. We have two sending stones; I say we use one to inform our superiors of what we've found, and get further instructions.
"One possibility: we fly the ship to within a mile or two of our objective, destroy the tower, then fly the ship back to Cyre."

Garroth Ur'Than |

Garroth pulls the stone out of his pack and activates it. He relates what has transpired since they were shot down - being off course, running into the ship, eliminating the enemy airmen, encountering Triage, searching the ship, and a brief synopsis of the odd cargo in the vessel. He allows Triage to describe the intelligence recovered, as he has studied it in more detail; and has Haedric detail the condition of the airship and anything he learned about the barrels. "Sir, what are our orders?" he says when all is explained.

Haedric Korvin |

"Haedric, Check those for magic soldier."
"You didn't even need to ask.", he says before casting another spell.

Sorry guys had a long post this morn, it got eaten and I could not get back on
Once you activate the stone the world goes black , no longer are you standing in a over grown field but now stand in a dark room. Chanting can be heard and you feel a presence in your mind. "All clear" A man steps from the shadow and listens as you report. Once you are done he holds his hand up for you to be silent and seems to be listening to someone you can not hear. He nodes his head and begins to address you.
" Yes the new ship and these...barrels are of great interest to crye, you must bring them back across the line. Having the enemy's new weapons would be a great boon."
The man turns his head sharp then looks back to you. "Hurry you are being scryied,You must bring the weapons to us! At no cost do you allow them back into the hands of Karrnath!"

Synatria Silven |

Before the stone is activated:
Haedric steps away from the barrles. "Definitely necromancy, very strong. Maybe they figured out how to weaponize Animate Dead."
Synatria takes a step back from the barrels, eying them with hatred.
"If that is true, we should destroy them immediately."

"Yes, but how would we do that? Besides, the artificers could reverse engineer them, maybe we could find a way to destroy all their undead in one blow."
After the meeting, when we're ready to fly.
Haedric stands ready over the ship's controls, willing it to flight.
