Poll: What 3rd Party 4e Supplements Do You Want To See

4th Edition

I'm curious - what do people want to see from 3rd parties when it comes to 4e products.

a. Splatbooks such as Complete Fighter, Complete Dwarf, Monstrous Races, etc.
b. Campaign Settings
c. Adventure Paths
d. Monster Manuals
e. Rule enhancements (maritime warfare, steampunk, etc.)
f. DM tools, such as map compendiums, magic items, 1-shot encounters, etc)
g. Other - Please describe

Alternate rules, options books. Like Iron Hero's, Arcane Unearthed ect. New takes on the rules, new options ect. I always thought that was one of the best things about 3e. Buy the books with optional rules, use the ones you want to get the flavor of the game you want.

b. Campaign Settings
Direct conversion of the Forgotten Realms. No "100 years later more than 90 percent was destroyed by an angry demiplane." trash.

I know this is a dead horse - I was at it's funeral, and said my farewells.

That being said, I want a frickin' magazine. I want full color gloss, advertisements, product reviews, comics, editorials, crunch, fluff, and I want it in a format I can take to work to read when I get a break, or that last 10 minutes in bed before I conk out. This isn't a "I hate WotC" post, but I really miss my magazine.

(c) Generic setting adventures

and, to a lesser extent, (f)

Monster books and DM tools. I have fallen in love with writing my own adventures again but I love to get my hands on new monsters, maps, "Rogue's Gallery" npcs etc as these all make running and writing your own stuff much easier.

Ditto.

I totally agree. I'm not sure a 3rd party will be able to produce a mag to the level that we'd like to see (full color gloss, lots of content). We may to pray to the Gygax on high for this one.

1. Monster books. I especially want to see stats for more mundane animals.

2. Stand-alone adventures (not one of your options), or short sets of linked adventures.

Yeah. It's not something I'm holding even a glimmer of a hope on.

Still, it would be nice ...

What I'd like to see from 3rd party publishers are, in order:

c. Adventure Paths (and super/mega adventures, and "normal" adventures).

b. Campaign Settings (the wait foisted on us by WotC is frustrating. Give people what they want, now. Or, allow others to get the product to market sooner if WotC doesn't want to).

d. Monster Manuals (loved the myriad monster manuals of 3.x.).

I dread the proliferation of splat books like Adventurers Vault and the forthcoming Powers books.

I second this call. By all means they could add 'Alternative events' where the gods had a huge war and half are dead etc but initially leave it alone.

Definitely additional white ups for Wizards, the spells in the PHB are ok but they are missing a lot of the old mage flavour and individual schools.

A re-write\ updated version of some of the old classics. I've run Daggerford campign\adventure book recently in True20 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Find these gems and re-write them( add new character stats etc) but leave the main body of info ALONE.

The Daggerford adventure is a mini campaign set in daggerford and the surrounding villages and features with a few adventures leading to the big main adventure in Illefarn mines. Its almost a low level campaign which will get the PC's to 5 or 6th level.

I too would like to see a revisit of old classics, but unfortunately, this isn't really within the possibilities of 3rd party publishers.
