3.5 Prestige Classes for P:RPG

General Discussion (Prerelease)

I'm trying to use the prestige class, Radiant Servant of <"a sun god">. So when the character, a dwarven cleric of Sarenrae, reaches an appropriate level - what are the changes to make the class convertible to Pathfinder's system?

I don't think we haven't seen a Paizo prestige class yet, but for the sake of argument let's presume that the change to worry about is what happens to turning. I think that the cleric will also lose access to domain powers by taking prestige classes.

What do you think of this:
1) Empowered Channeling 1: Undead who fail a will save take 1.5x damage from the cleric's channeled positive energy
Radiance: no change
Turn undead: Radiant Priest levels stack with Cleric levels for empower
2) Divine Health: standard
Empowered Channeling 2: Living creatures are healed 1.5x normal from the cleric's channeled energy
3) Aura of Warding: standard
4) dead level
5) Bonus Domain: The radiant priest gains domain powers as a cleric of the same level in the Glory, Repose, or Sun domains.
6) Maximize Channeling: The cleric's channeled energy is maximized for the purpose of healing living creatures, but continues to be merely empowered for damaging undead creatures
7) Dead level
8) Positive energy burst: as standard
9) Dead level
10) Capstone power

So, I waffle on the capstone power.
Option 1: Empowered Maximized Channeling: The cleric's channeled energy is both maximized and empowered for the purpose of healing living creatures.
Option 2: Maximized Channeling 2: The cleric's channeled energy is always maximized for the purpose of damaging undead creatures.

I think Radiant Priest ends up here less of a power class than in the 3.x, but I don't mind that.

Ran into the exact same problem with a new player joining our game next week. He wants to enter the radiant servant prestige class in a few levels. After looking at the class, I was concerned it would need significant rework based on the changes to turn undead and domains.

Tergiver, I liked your thought of tying the empower/maximize to the revised turn undead (channel energy); however, I think that might actually increase the power of the prestige class. Previously, the empower/maximize was limited to a handful of healing spells memorized in the domain slot only. Tying it to the revised turn undead (channel energy) might be a bit much. I think tying it to the Healing Domain might work better – less spells than the old version, but with a few new supernatural abilities which could benefit from empower or maximize.

I took a stab at a revision idea myself – let me know your thoughts.
