So feel free to rant here about bad days. This isn't meant to disparage truly bad days, more for those who just had an unexpected setback or frustrating event.
So I get out from supply teaching, and my car breaks down. Then when I get home with the tow truck, I realize I left my $80 conducting baton at the school.
There's a write off of a day.

well, the last 14 days have definitely had their ups and downs. lets see: no power for a while, no internet for longer than that, no place to use a debit card for almost a week, no food in the fridge (it all spoiled), a $180 negative balance from overdrafts buying hurricane suppies, no three phase power at work (so, no air conditioning. it was as hot as 97 degrees inside the store at times...), had to bomb for fleas as the cat was infested when we had to leave the doors and windows open due to lack of electricity.
but i'm still alive, still working, stil have a roof over my head and still in love, so i guess none of the bad stuff was really that bad :)

Well; we have a rant thread that catches it all; but if you have a bad day and are on this thread; my prayers go out to you for a better day.
Yes, but prayers to whom?
If it makes you feel better, I had to crawl around in a slimy stormwater channel yesterday and take measurements. It's a living I guess...

Well, I remember a busker in Austin, the worst godawful player i'd ever heard. Went back a few years later, he was tearing it up at Joe's Generic Bar on a regular basis. Dude could SHRED.
If you want it bad enough, you'll get it :)
