Different Colors for Paizo Staff names?

Website Feedback

is there any way to change the color of the names of Paizo staff on the message boards to help separate them from everybody else? So this way when i'm looking through a long thread for an official response, the different color name will jump out at me?

I second that. Also, I think special avatars (in neon colours or something) would help.

Or at least all Smurf-based :)

Agreed. I find it tough to read some threads because multiple posters share the same avatar as one of the Paizo staff. I think that maybe using a light green color would work (as opposed to the dark green used by Pathfinder Society character aliases).

Many of the Paizo folks do have unique avatars that are not available to the rest of us (Gary, Alison, and Lisa come to mind immediately). However, I do agree that many their posts should be distinguished in some other manner. Perhaps, taking a cue from the World of Warcraft forums, Paizo employee posts should have different colored TEXT to make them stand out, not just have their names be a different color. A strong purple color would work well for this and fit in with the current color scheme, I think.

I swear I saw someone's name was colored green yesterday. Hm...

Pathfinder Society characters have their names in green.

The special avatars made an effect when there were less avatars to choose from, but now it seems there are loads of those anyway...unless they picked some kind of theme (like South Park -style a la Lisa).

While I do think having different colours for the names would be great, I don't think having the actual text in differnet colour is such a good idea...first of all, having plain text in different colors tend to be a bit annoying, and also second, I do like the "one of us" way of communication in messageboards. Maybe give them an option to use different color when they make more official announcements in the middle of threads?

The Talented Mr. Frost, Director of Marketing, and the dread PostMonster General also have unique avatars as far as I am aware.
Paizo staff members have their positions in brackets adjacent to their names (unless they're using aliases). I personally don't need more than that to rely on if I'm skimming a thread looking for response from them.

I've never had a problem finding the Paizonians posts. You get used to their avatars pretty quickly.

The few that don't use unique ones (Erik comes to mind quickly) can occasionally be confusing when someone with same avatar comments. I often give a doubletake before realizing that the post was not written by him.

Well, there is this one alias called "Nicolas Louge" with the same avatar as Logue. That is confusing.
