That's what I figured. (about the spawn coffins) he was running into another room or secret passage where HIS coffin should be.
Thanks, Larazo. I was hoping Brujo would react that way. It gave me the chance to explain why the transformation in Snaggletooth from somewhat amusing paperweight to stealthy commando. :) I really wanted to do a little speech like that. Thanks.

Cale Noor |

Oh, you guys and your dots. Lazaro was restoring his on the top of the last page.
Just FYI- if you get sick of my little asides, please let me know. I came up with the idea that kobolds don't use coffins when interning their dead and so he wouldn't understand the significance of the word. It is just a way to play up his monsterous heritage.
In fact, any word or concept that I don't think an average kobold would know, I will spell out pho-net-ic-al-ly. Whether anyone helps Snaggle understand these or not is up to you guys. And like I said, if it bothers you too much, I can stop. It is just a way to develop my character and remind everyone that I am a kobold and not civilized like the rest of you guys.

Speaking for myself, I'm enjoying it.

Now that the "great coffin debate" is over, I for one am waiting on Caine, Leo, and Perigia to either open the 'secret door' or seal it for the night. I would prefer to go on, but then Snaggle is hardly injured. If some of you who were injured pretty badly would like to extended rest, that's cool with me. Just post it IC and we can bed down for the night. How quickly do vampires reform again? Are we on the clock, as they say?
"residuum knows no provenance" -that was a great one, pat. very funny. no such thing as 'evil' residuum, eh? Finally there is something to do with evil and cursed magic items that still makes them useful to a good PC. No more storing evil items to prevent the bad guys from using them. Every magic item is useful for something, even if it is just to make creating magic items easier.

Rev Rosey |

It's still morning. Lunchtime at the latest. You spent your last extended rest in the room full of mausolea, proceeded to the room with the trapped braziers, desecrated altar and three creepers and then went on to pay your respects to Barthus.
As far as finding and opening the secret door, Snaggletooth has Thievery +12 and is by far more likely to be able to deal with that than anyone else :D

FabesMinis |

I saw that, but assumed that Rosey wasn't using it in the sense of "ack take a negative level for using an EVVVILLLL weapon!!!" just that it was a nasty thing that nice people like us wouldn't use. Which I'm happy to roleplay, it's just interesting to note that there are no rules for aligned weapons, except as an option in Adventurers' Vault.... hey wait a minute! Damn mace, get that residuum from it right now! :D

Rev Rosey |

It's a chunk of enchanted metal. No more, no less. However, given its provenance, you might well have qualms about using it.
It does not impose any negative penalties if used by a good aligned character, but the flavour of it as a weapon leans towards the dark side. In your boots, I'd boil the thing down and turn it into something useful. If you do that, the new weapon will still be a Lifedrinker, but you can re-flavour it.
"Leo/Cronin/Caine/Brujo/Snaggle watches as Allendi draws forth the arcane power of the weapon. Even as the mace glows and returns to its unadorned state, the longsword/spiked gauntlet/greatsword/scimitar/shortsword absorbs the new power. You know with certainty that the strength of your blows will also strengthen your body."
Summat like that.
This is not to say that you won't find aligned weapons/gadgets at some point. I just wanted to raise the possibility before it crops up for real with something none of you can usefully use anyway.

Cale Noor |

Maybe you could call it a weapon of revivial since it gives you life with every successful blow. You just leave out the part about it being life originally belonging to someone else. :)
I guess we're moving on after the short break. Snaggle has done his thief thing successfully, I hope, and we can be off. Like I am, off to work. back in 9 hours or so, if you need me, Rosey can play Snaggle til I get back.

Cale Noor |

Rosey,
do you think we are going to get into this right now? in order words, I need to stay by the keyboard in case my turn comes up? it 5:16 AM and i need to get a little more Zs before work. if my turn comes up and everyone is on, posting, go ahead for me. I will be up at 7:00AM to get ready for work and can post then.

Cale Noor |

Sorry, but being the newbie, I didn't want the group to be waiting on me. I guess I am little unsecure. You have to remember, I just found you guys like a week ago. I spent several hours straight reading the past 25 pages of posts in one sitting. I have no idea what the normal pace of the story is. So I get eager. Then I worry that something might be happening that I need to respond to. And then I post something. I have even gotten up at like 2am or 4am and checked to see if it is my turn.
I'll tone it down. (Yeah, I know I am crazy. No need to point it out. :) )

Rev Rosey |

Don't fret. We've all done that/still do that/will do that (delete as applicable or tick all three boxes). Everyone starts somewhere and you're doing fine.
I should have explained as well, that although I'm draconian and prefer a fast moving game, I do allow players 24 hours in which to post after their turn comes up in combat. Admittedly often to the minute, but 24 hours nonetheless.
The other thing is that if you know you're not going to be posting for some reason, let me know either here or in the game thread so I can run your pc if needed.
As for example, now. Pat is trapped in flight hell, so I'm about to work out what Cronin might do and roll for him.

I commisioned a drawing of Perigia a week or so ago, and now it is done. What do you think?

Rev Rosey |

Advance warning is hereby given that 14-21 February will see a minor hiatus. I've just found out that our holiday home is likely to be bereft of internet access.
This is a long-awaiting jaunt to the deep countryside accompanied only by as many like-minded friends as we could lay hands on, lots and lots of food and much of the output of WoTC and other outlets as we can assemble between us. Plus a couple of battle maps, enough dice to build a scale model of the Golden Gate Bridge and a trailer of wood, as it's turned darned chilly in our part of the world.

Cale Noor |

Sounds like fun. I hope you have a good time. I will have to console myself with plenty of movies (a friend wants me to join her for the new Friday the 13th movie and I want to see Push again) and watching Naruto on DVD. (I have almost all 12 boxed sets now-still missing 3 and 10) I don't why I am so obsessed with Naruto, maybe it reminds me of the earlier days of Dragonball Z and that Avatar show. Whatever it is, I am hooked on it like crack. (Or as I can imagine someone being hooked on something like crack as I have never tried anything like crack and do not condone doing drugs in any shape or form except for medicinal purposes under the care of a morally upright physican) :)
*sigh* I can get caught up on my reading, anyway.

Cale Noor |

Cale Noor, if you like any anime then try some Bleach. I also like Darker than Black.
I may have to do that. At my current rate, I will be caught up with Naruto Shippuden in a week. I already finished the original series. I liked the old nine-tail transformations. The Shippuden ones look like Kabuki actors. Anyway, most of these shows are on-line now. If you don't mind the subtitles, you can have a lot of fun watching them.
What is Bleach about?

![]() |

Bleach is awesome, and right now they're doing one of my favorite arcs in the manga!
Sure there was a bit of fillerific material, but it was the rare good filler
I really need to update my Myspace Video page. I haven't updated since last week and have a but load of new anime. Including putting Dark than Black up, and a new anime Kurokami!

![]() |

Hey Cale, feel free to stop by my games discussion page to talk anime!
That's mostly all that we talk about, well sometime rules queations (reminder to self, fiend with antimagic shield taking cover behind a statue= lots of confusion and angery players), but mostly anime.

Cale Noor |

Lazaro and Radaval
Well, I finished Shipudden and now I have to wait for the new episodes like everybody else. :P yuck! I tried Bleach and like 6 different animes and none have picqued my interest. Bleach is a little dark for my taste. Night Wizard was too high tech. (magical laser cannons) What I liked about Naruto was the way they moved and the stories. Ninjas I like, I can get into, even with colorful costumes and flashy powers. Soul Reapers and hallows not so much. Bleach's animation is pretty good, but the main character looks too old for his age and the thing with his father is weird. I can see why you might like it but it is not for me. I am still looking for my next great obsession. :)

Cale Noor |

So, team, what's the plan? Cross the water trap room and head that way? or continue the way we were heading before. I have no opinion, except that I would like to check the door beyond that room and see if it leads to a treasure room or what it leads to. But Snaggletooth is not a leader, yet. He will scout ahead if asked and basically follow along with the group otherwise.

If it's 4e, I'm very likely in. How do you feel about Invokers, Sorcerers and suchlike? Or put another way, can we use anything that shows up in the character builder if we post it nicely for you to vet?

Tempting, so very tempting. I'm already feeling pretty maxed out, though, given my current obligations. When you start SoW, though, I'll clear some of those obligations (who wants a job, anyway?)!
