Playtesting and Reporting - Question for the Developers

Playtest Reports

I would like to enquire what is more useful for developers: Writing out a playtest report in a manner indicating exactly how the game went and what happened, or identifying problems based on playtesting and posting directly about those issues.

Same here.

I can't find the thread with the answer, but the last time I saw this question the Paizo guys said:

1) Post observations on rules and not a chronology of the game. They felt that the more verbose format would be too much for them to read and keep track of.
2) Repost those observations in the appropriate forum when it's in focus during the playtest schedule

Correct. We've got a LOT of playtest feedback to go through, and verbose versions slow us down. Just post the observations, and try to aim them at the correct thread during the correct time during the playtest timeline. If you hit on an observation or problem and the timeline has moved beyond that window, save it for the end where there'll be a catch-all period for comments.

Thank you - that answers my question.
