As started in this thread, let’s use each of our favorite Paizoans’ nick/avatar/whathaveyou as a new term.

For example, submitted by kessukoofah:
Poodle
PÜ-dul (Noun)
1) Infuriating, small creature of the canine family, known for yapping and peeing on upholstery.
2)Infuriating, small ego-ed internet creature of the canine family, known for yapping and peeing on message boards.

Please limit the number of entries you make so that no one person creates the majority of new terms. Please try to avoid duplication.

Changote: (Chan-go-tey)
1) Big hairy monkey who butt in to post OT themes in specific thread-
Oh wait, those would be poodles too...

Damn, I guess I'm still too new to add one.

What's funny is that I already used that word like that...ok, not so much funny as odd and creepy...

And what would the term be for one who went straight into the OTD boards?

Good catch. Unfortunately, I will forever be known as the poodle here. So be it.

Got another one. Court Fool (adj) a completely useless and irrational act that serves no purpose other than to make the poster look foolish.; syn: tantrum, rant; i.e. Paizo didn't use my gamist theories so I threw a Court Fool.

Wouldn’t that be a noun?

There used to be "Russ moments" on the Greytalk list(scathing flames that involved a detailed list of exactly why said poster was stupid for holding a point of view), but I'm afraid I've calmed down a lot since my relative youth.

Scarab Sages

Tetered: Humorous changes made to a person's messageboard settings by the "Lord of All Code", often for the purpose of abject humiliation.

Ex: Did you see how Kobold Cleaver was tetered with a smurf avatar?

The David Fryer Fallacy: The David Fryer Fallacy recognizes that anyone who is not a "character optimizer" has no idea how to actually play a role-playing game and therefore may be dismissed out of hand since their characters do not have at least five different class by fifth level. It further states that any discussion with non-COs should be don in the most condecending and patronizing manner possible since, after all you are doing them a favor by explaining how wrong they are. Named for the individual who first decided to put a name to the behavior.

Character Optimizer: see munchkin.

Gamist: see munchkin.

Hey! That's highly insulting. It's comments like this that will lead to the demise of this thread. And btw, if you are going to capitalize "Bottomfeeder", you should have also capitalized "Hit and Run".

And now I'm leaving this thread forever, you bunch of mena poeple.

(See what I did there? ;-) Funny, huh?)

Editionist : Partisan, fanatic, crusader, afficionado, usually obsessed about the numbers 3 and 4, defending one while flaming the other.
If rangers could take a number as an enemy, or if paladins could smite numbers, he would.
Usually fights to the death his nemesis, the editionist of the opposite number.
Often pollutes threads with long tirades about his crusade, even if they talk about cooking or squirrels reproducing rites.

Callous Jack wrote:

That is all.

I'd like to submit Cowboy (noun), and Cowboying (verb) as meaning to ride to someone's defense on a board, regardless of your own personal feelings in the matter. their weapon of choice could be rhetoric, personal experiance, six-guns or logic, but they always choose to help those who can't seem to defend their own point well enough and so get beaten by people yelling them down.

and because I started this with the psuedo-dictionary entry:

Cowboy:
KOW-boy (noun)
1) One who rides to the defense of the weak and downtrodden.
2) Self-sacrificing personage who chooses to ignore his own feelings and help those who can't halp themselves.

Cowboying:
KOW-boying (verb)
1) To ack like a Cowboy (see Cowboy)

(and yes, I realize this is the romanticized version, but that's the version we all wish we could be anyway, so wtv.)
