I'm a subscriber and I designated to have my subscriptions ship together, however, I see that "Hungry Are the Dead" won't ship til October. Is that when I will receive the Second Darkness stuff?

I'm a subscriber and I designated to have my subscriptions ship together, however, I see that "Hungry Are the Dead" won't ship til October. Is that when I will receive the Second Darkness stuff?
If you have everything set to ship in one monthly shipment, you should get everything waiting now with PF14 later this month. If you have it set to ship with your AP subscription, you'll get the same result. Then in October, everything will be held from this month's subscription until either your AP is available or all October products are ready, depending on your preferences.
I have the following selected:
"Hold subscription items for monthly shipment
Ship my subscription products once a month, so I'll pay only one shipping charge."
The only things I see in my sidecart are AP #13 and "Hungry Are the Dead" Preorder expected October 2008.

Unless there's some computer glitch (which have been known to happen), you should get PF14 this month. Since they aren't expecting anything else to come in during September, your monthly shipment will go out when they have everything (1 item) in. Next month they will wait for all October items to arrive and then ship.

So when do I receive PF #13?
When did you set up all of your subscriptions?
I set them up in time to get the Second Darkness Companion (which I have received). When I subscribed for the Adventure Path, #13 was the current one. I specifically tried to sign up just after Curse of the Crimson Throne ended because I didn't want that AP.

So you got the companion, but not the AP issue?
Are the companion and the Pathfinder issue on the same order # in your Orders?
If so, your Pathfinder likely got left out of the order somehow, and the good folks at CS will have to send you a replacement, probably with your #14 which should go out this month.
Also, even though Hungry Are the Dead is in your sidecart, it shouldn't hold up your Sept shipment (Pf 14, plus the replacement if necessary).
Cosmo or Allison, of course, should be along (relatively) shortly to confrim or deny all of my rambling speculations.

Your Pathfinder #13 and Hungry Are the Dead module both went into your sidecart when you created the subscriptions because you chose the "Hold for one monthly shipment" option. They are both waiting for the next subscription shipment to go out. This means when Pathfinder #14 ships out (which will probably be next week), your Pathfinder #13 will go with it. The module will not be going because it will still be on preorder at that time.
I hope this clears it up for you a bit. :)

So... why didn't #13 go in August? That's the part I'm confused about. I created the AP subscription on Aug 1st. Is that not enough time for it to go with the August subscriptions?

August is a weird month because of GenCon. all the August product must be in to Paizo with enough time that they can ship it to Indy for the 15th, therefore, they got the august shipment's products the last week of July, and the August shipments went out right away (which is why you were allowed to start with pathfinder #13 and not #12 when they were both in the same 'monthly shipment' and arrived/shipped at the exact same time.)
