Hey, all. I'm considering converting the Fey'ri from the Races of Faerun book to a more PF-friendly version (mainly flavor changes, I'll admit...a different name and history), and I want to try and eliminate the need for a level adjustment. So, my thoughts on it was to remove the choice of four demonic abilities like they get in the book, and instead keep them as more along the lines of winged tieflings with alter self as an innate ability. Any thoughts? Help or suggestions are definitely appreciated.

The problem is as long as they have a fly speed, you will have a hard time getting rid of level adjustment. My first thought is to reduce flying to gliding for the first few levels at least. Much like the raptorans.
Can always reduce them to gliding at first and then add in feats to allow flight with light, medium and heavy encumbrance along with associated min levels to maintain balance. Similar to the races of the dragon stuff.
