Both Soll and Pavel's strikes are just a tad off and fall short of the mark. The brutish spellcaster takes a step back and flicks a pair of shining magic arrows at Gin. 1d4+1=5, 1d4+1=2 damage. The armored chain weilder swing at Branamonrick and impacts soundly 1d20+9=26 and inflicts a brutal injury. 2d8+1=11

Sorry this took so long. A road crew cut the trunk line for my neighborhood and I have been without internet or phone service for the last few days. MY DSL is still being wonky so it has taken awhile to get caught up with everything.
Ivo is up

male Halfling Factotum / 2

Frowning in concentration, Ivo swings again.

Warhammer Attack (1d20+2=10)

"I so hate being woken out of a deep sleep". "It takes me forever to wake up" he says under his breath.

If Bran is not unconscious:

Kelindra rushes to Bran's side at top speed attemping to skewer the monster in front of him.

To hit: [1d20+1+1] = 17
Dmg: [1d8+1+1] = 10

If Bran is unconscious:
Kelindra rushes to the necromancer's side and falls to her knees in fervent prayer, oblivious to the battle around her.

Cure light wounds: [1d8+1] = 2

Branamonrik is indeed unconcious, and remains so even after Kelindra's prayer takes effect. However, his breathing becomes more regular and the wounds knit together and his bleeding stops.

Gal is up
Soll
Pavel

Ouch sitting at 6 hp. DM isn't Gin's init after Gal?

OOPs, you are correct.

Gal is up
Gin
Soll
Pavel

Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000

Roaring in fury and frustration, Gal swings mightily at the chained warrior 1d20+4=19, 1d8+6=7
and connects but the beastman's armor deflects much of the force or the awesome blow.

Gripping his sword firmly he steps forward and swings at the spe;;caster

5ft step; Attack 1d20+4=19; Damage 1d20+5=8

Male Half-Orc Rogue 1

Soll continues to maneuver around the brute, attempting to gain an advantage.

5 ft. step, hopefully into flank. 1d20+5=13 (15 if flanking), 2d4+7=11

Regrettably, the half-orcs fury seems to prevent him making any accurate strikes.

Now is about the time I find myself wishing I could reach into my dice bag and pull out another website to roll on :P

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Pavel advances on the mage, trying to capitalize on the opening left by Gin's attack.
2-handed bastard sword: 1d20+5=17, 1d10+5=15

Gal brutally strikes at the chainwelder, and leaves a bloody gash along his flank. Meanwhile, Gin and Pavel both inflict grave wounds on the brutish spellcaster. The spellcaster steps back from the two warriors and then turns to flee into the darkness. The chainwielding brute drops his weapon and bows his head. "I am wounded to the point of death. Do me the kindness of making my death quick."

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Is it possible to pursue the fleeing spellcaster? Or has he escaped for good?

Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000

"Oh, I will" says the still furious wild druid, grinding his teeth "if you will agree to first tell me, why did you attack us?"

Pavel wrote:

It is possible. He only moves thirty feet per round, so he has not even moved out of range of any ranged weapons.

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

On my turn, I'll draw my short bow and take a shot at the fleeing mage.
1d20+4=15, 1d6=1

Male Dwarf Cleric of Abadar 2

Branamonrik mutters something, unknowable in his unconscious state

Just posting , heh

Female Human Cleric 2

Kelindra will stay with Branomonrik and bind his wounds.

Pavel's shot hits the fleeing mage, but doesn't appear to do significant damage.

Gal wrote:

"Our lord demanded it," the brute says. "He wished us to bring back your treasures to him."

"Bandits, bandit lords this days getting better and better. Must be pretty desperate too. Not much we have in the way of treasure."

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Pavel curses at the fleeing hobgoblin.
"Chickens**t bastard!"
Then walks toward where Gal, Kelindra, Soll and Ivo have the other one covered.
"This lord of yours, he got a name? Maybe we'd like to pay him a visit."

Female Human Cleric 2
Gin wrote:

"Treasure can mean many different things to many different people, or even titanspawn. What is it that your master considers our 'treasures'?"

Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000

At Pavel's curse, Gal turns around and sees the fleeing mage. His face a mix of rage and surprise he yells at the ranger "You're letting him escape to bring reinforcements?!" knowing that the beastman he had bested was covered for now by the others, Gal snarls an oath and flows into wolf from, easily chasing down the doomed spellcaster.

Move is 50' in wolf form. Gal will chase the mage down until he catches him, using typical wolf tactics to try and hamstring the hobgoblin so it can't run anywhere. If it resists, Gal will kill it. If you need to roll anything for him, please go ahead.

"Daylight's coming, they're not..."

After Gal charges off.

"Oy. Fine. Kelindra, do you think you can get Assia back on his feet before Gal gets back? I don't want him getting any "survival of the fittest" ideas about his best friend there."

"Yes, I think so." Kelindra once again invokes the power of Corean.

CLW [1d8+1] = 7

Gal succeeds in chasing down the last hobgoblin and ripping his throat out. Kelindra's healing is enough to rouse Branamonrik back into conciousness. The moment that you ask the captured hobgoblin the name of his lord, his eyes roll back in his head and he falls to the ground. He is still brething, but it seems like all higher brain functions have shut down.

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

"Ah, blood and ashes. Guess we can rule out a simple shake-down then."

I'll head to the comatose hobgoblin and check him out, look for identifying marks or unusual equipment.

The hobgoblin has a black tattoo of a sunrise on his back. He is wearing half-plate and carrying a spiked chain.

Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000

Gal will flow back to half-elf shape and throughly search the mage before heading back to camp. Once there, his stubborn pride will not allow him to ask for healing but his occasional grunt of pain and the blood streaming down his chest make things pretty obvious...

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Pavel pulls out a stub of charcoal and a little piece of paper, draws the tattoo as best he can. If no one else has searched the other hobbo, he'll look at him as well.

"Equipment's here if anyone wants to salvage it. Do we give this one a merciful death or keep him alive in hopes he'll come back enough to talk one day? I think I already know what to do, but let's at least get a consensus."

To Gal
"Need a bandage there, hoss?"

Pavel wrote:

"Merciful death," says Kelindra. "All right then Gal, come here." Seeing Bran stair, she grabs his wrist. "No, you stay. The rest of you come closer as well. We may as well heal as a team."

Hoping that she has not tired Corean's compasion with her incessant prayers, she once again calls up on his aid.

Channel Positive Energy - 2 points. That's twice I've used this today

"My healing abilities are mostly exhausted, although I may call upon Corean's aid and energy a couple more times today."

Kelindra checks Bran's wounds one more time and then gets up, clearly agitated. "I just need a minute, if you'll excuse me." With that, she walks a short distance away and takes a few deep breaths.

"Poor Kelindra, I think she's tried herself out channeling magic to heal us." Gin wraps a bandage over his wound as he watches her walk away.

Male Half-Orc Rogue 1

Still tired and wounded, Soll angrily flings his falchion aside, apparently furious with himself for his failings in the fray. He sits near the fire (we did have a fire, right?) and picks through the coals with a disgusted look on his face.

I don't know how well I'll be able to get on-line and involved for awhile. I've been having problems with my internet connectivity, and the touchpad on my laptop has stopped working about half the time, so even when I can get on-line it's hit or miss on whether I can actually do anything. Sorry.

Female Human Cleric 2

Kelindra returns to the group. Her manner is calm once again. "I see that most of us are still beat up. I have four more opportunities to call on Corean's energy before I completely exhaust his good will for the day. Let's gather round and I'll try one more time. I think I should save my other attempts in case something else happens to us, but its no good us walking around wounded."

Assuming everyone is willing to gather round in the healing circle, Kelindra will channel positive energy once more:

[1d6] = 1 healing skills suck today

After that, Kelindra will check each of the bandages to make sure they cover the wounds but are not too tight. She will also make sure the wounds are relatively clean and check for any signs of poison or infection.

Heal check Gin [1d20+7] = 14
Heal check Soll [1d20+7] = 11
Heal check Ivo [1d20+7] = 9
heal check Gal [1d20+7] = natural one Sorry Gal
Heal check Pavel [1d20+7] = 17
Heal check Ivo [1d20+7] = 10
Heal check Bran [1d20+7] = 14

All of this will take time of course. If the group decides they need to move on instead of staying, Kelindra will stop what she's doing, pack up and get ready to move.

male Halfling Factotum / 2

Ivo gives thanks for the healing attention, then returns to his sleep, grumpy at the interruption. "Hmph!" "I could have gone on sleeping for all the good I did".

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

"Thanks a lot, Kelindra. Sorry if we're soaking up all of The Avenger's good will. Still have a long day ahead of us, too. Well, dawn's here so it's probably a good time for all of us to grab a quick bite and strike camp."

Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Kelinda Snow wrote:

No worries Kelindra ;-)

Wincing in pain at Keliindra's clumsy efforts with seeing to his wounds, as she accidentally pokes her fingers directly into the gash across his chest Gal curses an oath in pain and moves her hands away sharply saying "Enough woman! Leave off! My thanks for your attempt but I think I shall be better off seeing to this myself!"

With that Gal moves off and sees to his own wounds. Heal check (1d20=7). The position of his wound makes doing so awkward though and he doesn't do a much better job of it than the Cleric did.

The sun rises and it is fully day. A wind begins blowing from the east.

Pavel finishes packing up the horses and mounts up.
"All right, Mullis Town ain't getting any safer the longer we sit and mope. Let's move out."

Did the sword-wielding hobgoblin or the mage have anything on them?

Gin stretched and begins packing his gear. He looks over to Kelindra and gives a smile "You look better this morning"

The mage had a set of bracers, 3 daggers, and a staff.. The sword wielder had a longsword, steel shield, longbow with 20 arrows, and chainmail. You each get 600 xp from the encounter.

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Pavel will roll the equipment up in a few blankets to evenly distribute the weight. Either before the group sets out or during the day when there's a minute to stop, he'll ask if anyone wants anything or if they can tell if something's magical.

Kelindra will detect magic on the whole lot.

Kelindra grins. "Thanks, I feel better."

The bracers are magical.

A half days ride more, and you arrive in Mullis Town. The cities battlements are fully manned and the town has the feel of an armed camp.

Pavel

Spoiler:
This is completely the opposite of how the town has been during your past visits.

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Pavel motions for everyone to slow down while approaching Mullis Town.

"Something must have happened since my last trip up the Corridor; Mullis Town's usually looks a little less forbidding than this. Keep you weapons sheathed and don't be smart with the guards, okay? Let's see if we can get some news."

I assume the party will then approach town.

Also taking the longbow and the arrows from the hobgoblins we killed.

Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000

As the town first comes into sight, being well aware of the general feeling towards those of his ilk, Gal moves behind one of the horses and flows back into half-elf form. He continues the rest of the way on foot, albeit somewhat slower than normal due to his wounds.

Dave, just to be clear, did we get to recover our spells?

Unless you waited for another night, this is still the same day that you fought the hobgoblins.
