LOL! IIRC those were ugly wins, but it's less ugly than the previous seasons. To make matters worse it's like I can console myself by rooting for Diane's Jags either. ;)
I guess I like underdogs.

Whelp, my Saints had a blah year, but what the hell, there's always next year.
Tomorrow night LSU plays their bowl game.
And I'm looking forward to the National Championship game. I'll be cheering on Notre Dame.
Not so sure about th Super Bowl, but as long as it isn't Falcons versus Patriots I might at least watch it.

The whole thing was literally embarrassing.
I'm embarrassed.
Not by the fact that we lost. Shit happens.
You don't go for an onside kick at the beginning of the 3rd quarter when you're down two touchdowns. And, for f%!%'s sake, the coaches need to not get 15 yard penalties for being in the white zone.
It's intolerable.
I'm embarrassed to lose through utter and complete hamhanded f&~#pumpery like that.
I mean, I usually try to avoid "armchair quarterbacking," but this was truly sophomoric and/or moronic. This was the behavior of a Village Idiot.
I don't even think I'm armchair quarterbacking. That would infer some sort of quarterbacking was being displayed. That was completely Ringling Brothers. Clowns beating each other with rubber chickens.
I'm embarrassed.

True. But at the moment I can't think of any team that would have beat Bama, except maybe another SEC team.
Sure, they talk about Oregon and that incredible offence, but guess what? They were talking the same way about Oregon a year or so back when LSU beat the crap out of them in the first game of the season. Would such a win over Bama have been possible? Of course. Would it have been likely? Not really.

Indeed. I think so to.

Is the playoff starting next year? It's four teams right? Any idea how they will seed it?
I recall it wasn't starting until the 2014 season, but someone told me today that it was starting next season (or later this year). I'm not sure which is correct.
As far as how it's seeded, I think they'll keep the current system for ranking, pick the top 4 teams, and winnow them out from there. I believe the big bowl games (Sugar, Cotton, Rose, and Orange) will rotate hosting the playoff games. I may be wrong, but that's what I recall from first hearing the news.
