So I was going to post something along the line of how last week of the month and dungeon online had only produced the ap adventure and was shy of the normal 3 per mag we're used to when suddenly at the last moment they drop 3 this issue. I haven't read them and I am kind of speculative of their quality, but what is the general thought of this sudden drop of adventures?

I'm pretty sure after Dungeon goes subscription-only, they'll set up a more regular schedule for adventure releases (prolly 2/month; maybe 3 with freelancer/outsider support).
Maybe.
But my experience is that professionalism and reliability is a characteristic companies (and people) exhibit all of the time or none of the time -- not just when subscription revenues are rolling in.

Sometimes multiple adventures happen to come out at the same time. There may be delays behind the scene or manpower may just be diverted to other business tasks. I don't find it to be any different than getting Pathfinder 12 and 13 in the same envelope.

I didn't mean by anyway that there was anything wrong with this I guess I meant I was curious as to what the general feeling most had for the adventures themselves, more of a question of whether people felt they were rushed or not. I also agree that Gencon was presumably a big factor I hadn't really thought of. I was just commenting on the standard 3/month adventure rate were used to and the sudden 3 at the last week/moment thing. Just curious to see reactions to these is all :)

And, using the tin hat method of analogy, I can't count out that maybe they did this deliberately to test the waters on if the audience wants the adventures proportioned, or all at once.
As for me, here's the post I put over on the WotC boards concerning the PDFs:
While I have to admit the reasons for going to online are many, and compelling, I would like to share a revelation that I just recently "discovered":
I have read the latest issue of White Dwarf magazine probably 2-3 times over.
I have downloaded, but neither printed OR read a single issue of Dragon or Dungeon magazine. Not for lack of intent, and it really took me by surprise, but the only article in either publication that I have taken time out to actually read is Shelly's CONFESSIONS ...
I really miss the print copy. I don't even have a desire to read the pdf version, even when I know there are at least a few articles I'd like to look over

Its a bit concerning. I mean if your a Paizo subscriber and they fall behind you don't give them money since you pay for X number of issues. With an online subscription model one pays by the month - so we need to be getting good value each month.
The real problem here is that it seems they are actually behind schedule and yet they intend to start charging. Now I have no problems with paying for the content as I think its well worth $5 a month but I think they really should be in a situation were they have several months content all lined up and ready to go. Does not really seem to be the situation they are in.

I can only speak from my experience, but my adventure--which was one of those released in this issue--was submitted in final draft form before DDXP this year: so it has been done (at least the text portion) since February.

That sounds about right. Greg Vaughn indicated he had his installment for Scales of War, part four, into Dungeon about six months early, give or take a week or two.
Any delays or holds up with adventures getting posted are certainly not due to contributors.

Wizards is not behind schedule on Dragon or Dungeon.
The goal is to have both magazines done near the start of the month after the issue's month.
Although it is sad that all the Dungeon adventures came out at the same time, Wizards is not running late.
NOTE: I am note defending Wizards in this statement. I am just saying what the situation is as I see it.

They are not exactly behind schedule in the sense that they managed to slip everything in before the deadline but it seems that they are either holding everything to the last few days on purpose, which seems unlikely, or they are only finally finished with the editing and setting everything up to go in the last few days of the month.
I'd feel a lot more confident if we were seeing things being released in a more timely schedule. Something that would indicate that they were a month or two ahead of schedule. Now I'm sure the contrinuters have handed their material in ahead of schedule but thats only half the battle. The editing half seems to be were WotC is having trouble - its were Paizo usually has trouble as well, though it can be a situation were the contributor hands in something that the staff decides is unusable at the last minute.

Yah, it does seem a tad rushed at the end of each month. Heck, in one day they just put out Confessions for Dragon #366, and the Editorial from Dragon #367. IN ONE DAY!

IMO. it makes sense to take advantage of the web format by spreading the content out over the course of a month instead of having it all arrive in a clump.
Truth. There hasn't been a whole lot of "taking advantage of the format" going on over there. I'm still hoping they figure out how much we want the Dungeon maps offered as unmarked, printable, full-scale battlemats for their new mini-intensive game.

Ironically I've had the same phenomenon with the PF Alpha and Beta. DL'ed em, never read em. I intended do, but I just never got around to it. Reading PDFs is something I do if needed, not for pleasure, I guess. Old fashioned...
