Out of curiosity Hugo, what commissions do you have left at this point?
I'm almost done with Azim for Underling (dwarf monk) and afterwards the 6th "bonus" work for Hazhi, ANOTHER Osirion character (hehehe), which I'll make differently that the first five as he's the Bonus entry.
I'll open another Five commission next week for Female Characters Only and 1 Osirion tops.
Okay, it's up. I went with the banded mail and gave it a Roman Legionary look and kept the Lammasu simple as I had a little trouble fitting it properly on the shield.
I love it, it's really good work, I wonder why I'm holding my pick upside down :P no seriously this is so great I'm going to e-mail the pick to my DM thank you so much.

Actually I've got a great one for you, if I can tell you about it now. A female gnome alchemist with a sexy librarian look (eyeglasses, hair in a bun , and a 15 Charisma), she wears a bandolier across her chest that holds 10 flasks, 5 alchemists fire, 5 acid. She also wears belt pouches bulging to the max on her belt, if you add color, she wears very drab browns but she never goes anywear without her royal purple cloak, its her one piece of flair. Her name is Kristine Littleknight, she was a good character who went a little crazy traveling with a mostly evil and evil-leaning nuetral party.

I wasn't going to say it, because I really do love what you did, but I'll admit when I looked at it, I thought it looked like a hammer. If it helps though I'm a little clouded cause in my head when I see a pick I see more of a one sided miners pick then actual military picks.

I don't think I've ever drawn a pick before so this was a first. I really couldn't even find many pictures of them. If it annoys me enough, I may fix it so we'll see...

Eh the image I always have in my head is basically scythe like in appearance. the haft goes on one end, making it unbalanced for dueling, but really good for solid sweeping blows (like a sledghammer). and the narrow point makes it good for penetration. Basically its a scythe shape execpt without a blade. I know that's not what they really were like, just the image in my head.
Edit: here is a really good image look at tancred's crowbill and make it a slightly longer head.

Hey Hugo I would be honored if you wanted to do an piece on Sachiko's head ornaments. I envision her hair in a bun and up, and as she throws her hairpins strands of hair fall down to her shoulders and back. Looking for inspiration for this character I drew on my love for an amazing card game I no longer play, Legends of the 5 rings. I remember two pieces of art that I fell in love with and looking back, I think these inspired me a bit on Sachiko.
Both are by Michaeal Komarck.

Underling... I just made a MAJOR screwup with Azim... I made the bracer elbow-big and damn heavy and I just noticed that they are torcs... I'll have to correct that so I may take a day longer to upload it... Damn!

Pretty much, remove the blade so it's all puncture and you've got it, I would even make the length a little longer, although that increases the odds of it getting stuck in a body. like i said, just how I envision the weapon for fantasy, not how it has to be for reality. Hey it's great the way it is though so don't worry too much about it (not saying I wouldn't love to see what you do now that you have an image)

I know you haven't opened up the submissions yet but as people are posting some possibilities I don't want to miss the boat. So here are the contenders see if anything inspires you.
Sykala stands 5'6" is very tanned and has a athletic build one would expect from someone constantly outside. Her eyes are piercing sky blue and her hair is dark, wild and unkempt seemingly constantly blowing in a breeze even when there is none to be felt. Her armor is made out of green scales that light hits and gives a iridecent glow too. She carries a shield that is very austere but made out of some beautiful dark wood. She carries many bottles and vials about her person seemingly made out of bone, gourds, leaves, and animal hides.
Her background, equipment, and stats:
Cold Iron Spear, +1 Dragonhide chainshirt, MW Heavy darkwood shield, dagger; Gear Ring of Protection +1, 3x belt pouch, sunrod (3), explorer's outfit, 4 Tanglefoot bags, 4 vials of antitoxin, 5 Smokesticks, 5 vials of acid, 5 flasks of alchemists fire, 2 thunderstones, and 10 tindertwigs.
Sykala was raised in the forests near the free city of Llizmagorti. She at the age of eight and her parents were fleeing Sargava to return to Cheliax when pirates attacked. The captain of the ship steered into the Eye of Abendego in a desperate attempt to escape. The winds shredded the sails and capsized the ship. She clung to a cask and in her delirious state she saw visions of the land, sea, and sky devouring all that man had built. She washed up on shore two days later the sole survivor with a new reverence for the power of nature. Lost and alone she fended for herself for several years living off the land. Her encounter with the hurricane seemed to leave a permenant mark upon her soul and anytime there was a breeze or wind she could feel the power of it blow through her. She lost all track of how old she was and even her last name or those of her parents. She was eventually discovered half feral by some farmers as she raided thier henhouse and captured. They took it upon themselves to take this little wild girl to an orphanage in the city of Llizmagorti. She immediately ran away from the place and hid in a grove in the city. The animals of the place brought the keeper of the grove to her. He let her stay sensing the connection she had to Gozreh and so began to formally teach her the ways of druidism. More years passed and she became able to function within society again, albeit poorly. The keeper noticed that she would collect things she found in nature and combine and work with it. She would create leaves filled with spider silk that would ruptur when thrown and capture a squirrel for her to eat. When he questioned her about using nature in this seemingly "unnatural" way she just looked at him and said "How do the bees make thier honey? Do not birds make nests?". He thought about it and nodded smiling to himself at his own narrow views. He would take her creations, sell them, and would every so often bring her a gift in return. This is how she acquired most of her equipment. She began to feel the storm call to her more and more incessently until the screaming of the wind in her mind could be ignored no longer. She stowed away on a ship headed out to sea that would skirt the hurricane to avoid pirates. The some of the men onboard discovered her in the hold and brought her before the captain. He threatened her but noticed as he did that the winds picked up suddenly and buffeted his ship each time she screamed or struggled. He told the men that she was not to be touched and to give her food and water in the hold until they could drop her at the nearest port. The wind calmed and turned favorable again. Upon feeling the winds of the storm she understood that it would take her to where she needed to go and so she remained quiet and unmolested in the hold until they reached Bloodcove. The ship pulled anchor as soon as she was off thier ship with the men feeling great relief and invoking Gozrehs name that they had done her no harm. The breezes were strange here and she followed the into the city.
Ka'kara Furyheart
She is the daughter of a chieftan and wants to prove she is more than the equal of any of her brothers to fill her fathers role in the tribe. She has set forth to follow the last part of a warriors path to make her worthy of the leadership role which is to go out in the world and make a name for herself. Be respected by one's friends and feared by ones enemies. To travel the lands and seek to harden her body and sharpen her mind. She is everything people envision when they think of the romantic version of barbaric chieftans daughter. Ruggedly beautiful with long braided locks of blonde hair, tribal tattoos can be seen running down the sides of her face and around her arms, ankles, thighs, and stomach. The rippling muscles that can be seen under her skin do not entirely do justice to just how physically powerful she can be, much to the regret of more than one overconfident man. She has an unmistakable glint of intelligence behind her eyes but does not always think through the consequences of her actions.

I also have a epic female character who was a Duskblade that survived the entirety of the Savage Tide. She wears full plate, wields a vorpal longsword that was ripped from a Balor before he detonated, and has an animated shield that constantly floats about her. Wears a warclaw of wounding on left hand. 5'4" half-elf with green eyes and autumn orange hair. Also wears a pirate hat that looks like the one Davey Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies wore. She wears an eyepatch and had knee-high pirate boots. Wears a captian's coat underneath the armor but the bottom of it flares out at the waist and covers the upper part of her legs. Also wears a cloak. and has an Ioun stone wizzing around her head. Sheesh! This one would be a little crazy and that is just the most basic of write-ups to give an idea. For someone up for a challenge I suppose.

I'm finishing up the last thing I had on my to-do list today drawing-wise, and was wondering if anyone had anything they would like for me to draw. If I get something today, it should be colored and uploaded by Monday at the latest. I pretty much always work in color. I have an unhealthy attachment to my watercolor pencils ;) I really appreciate the chance to practice, so if you don't mind waiting I can take a couple to do for next week, too.

I just finished my first 5 commissions and I wanted take the time and look back to summarize and I was amazed on how cool this thread has developed! So, thanks are in order.
I want to thank all of you guys for jumping into the train and making this thread an actual "Home" for artists and for those who enjoy the drawings. When the thread started I was just begining to post in the Paizo boards and now I feel as if I had been here for over year, you are all amazing people! Thanks for the opportunity to do your characters and thanks to all the artists who hopped in and turned the thread into an "Artist's studio".

For this commissions I will ask for a full Character description as if it was to be published in an adventure; with full game staticts (weapons and all), character personality description and background history. In order to take a commission "in" I'll need all this info upfront. This is to make a bit more useful the drawings. You'll see ;)

Sweet Kessul is an Iconic! (or at least I can pretend so for now) yay! Incidently, This is going in my backgrounds folder. It's awesome.
Also, I was planning on submitting a female Andoran Monk on monday, but then I realized that you already did two drawings for me and I don't want to appear selfish...anyhoo...ya, not gonna do that now. I'll wait a while. maybe eventually I can get you to do a halfling druid, where halflings in my game are xenophobic, cannabalistic, highly intelligent tree/forest dwellers. and possibly also marsupials, though I havn't decided on that or not.

You are never going to believe what happened to me the other day, I was just minding my own business when the next thing I know I'm being bitten by these ghoulish monsters and strung up on a scarecrow pole. Next thing I know this hot woman comes striding up to me uses a scimitar to cut me down, heals me... and here's where it gets crazy as she's rubbing her hand over my wounds and they start sealing up her hands don't stop and next thing I know she's healing an entirely different type of injury if you catch my drift...
Aw man this stuff is so rediculous I could go on, next thing you know its sex in a cornfield, mysterious elf chick covered in knives... three-way... I could go on but I can't stop laughing to write.

Anytime on monday. I'll do it like the first time, the firts 4 posters WITH FULL INFO will be in (one is arlready taken).
The "requirements" are already listed, so, create your character's full description and copy-paste it here on monday and voila!
