I've started working on a DM's tool much like klooge (or the 4e one) but with a better price tag (free).
Maybe I should key it for PathFinder. None of the rules, of course, that aren't OGL, but I think movement is a must. What standard monsters seem logical (goblin? ogre?).
I already use my laptop to DM off of, and I get players who have to wait around waiting for slower players (read rules-lawyers) to hash out details. They'd optimally be able to key in actions for their henchmen while they wait.
Opinions on what should / legally-can be added / left out? Or thoughts in general aboutthe concept?

Got some screenshots and an early version up.
Only a few on the menu options work - I haven't yet decided what should do what.

For the legal stuff, check the OGL statements. Generally, our rules are fully open, and our world stuff is not; in the Pathfinder RPG, pretty much the only thing that's not open is the list of deities and our trademarks (Pathfinder, for one).
Which reminds me to ask:
How would one say that a product supports "Pathfinder", if the word "Pathfinder" itself is not OGL? Do I need to contact someone to get some permission of something similar? Or do I simply need to include a trademark notice to Paizo?
My product will soon support the Pathfinder RPG, so this is kind of important to ask... (It would be weird to say that the product supports the RPG similar to the find the path spell!!)
Thanks for the help!

May I ask you for one favor? If you are going to go through the work of making a DM's application, can you take a look at DM GENIE?
http://dmgenie.com/
It is an excellent program that works spectacular for the DM and Players, but it has no support. The company that made it, keeps selling it, but had stopped providing support some time ago... I'm afraid it will never be updated again.
So, if you are making a new program, perhaps you can get some ideas from that one, which, imho, kicks butt over kloogworks, or any other program out there! (And I have tried over 30 of them...)
/sigh

I think the current stance is that once the final edition of the rules is published, they'll have something similar to the d20 License which allows you to claim compatibility. But they won't have anything like that for the Beta version of the rules (which they want to make obsolete in a year anyways).

Well it's 3am and we just got through a long power session with it and the entire group but me hated it lol. Have to make it simpler, and more intuitive yet. But my group is pretty conservative, so if they like it that means it's pretty good.
Thanks for the DMgenie link. I'm in love with the way they did the display of the combat round - round + init. Hot.

Hehe. Keep us updated! Sounds fun and exciting!

Is there a Hero Forge - like character generator our there for Beta?
TOS+ v2.0 will support Beta. I will be opening testing of this new version on the Sheet's forum, to allow TOS+ users to test out and report any errors.

DM Genie is not intuitive. I don't use it as a combat manager, but I do have it running off to the side on my laptop when I DM ... it looks up feats, spells, and creates monsters with templates faster than anything I can do on my own ...

If you're looking to publish under the OGL, you really should familiarize yourself with Section 7, which places restrictions on your use of trademarks or Product Identity.
The upshot is that the OGL requires that you have a separate license from us if you want to indicate compatibility with the Pathfinder RPG; we're working on an open license that may or may not apply to you, but it's not ready yet.
You'll need to wait until we release that before you can do anything with our trademarks.
(Note that we haven't trademarked "PFRPG" or "Beta" or other things of that nature...)

I understand. Until such a time as you guys have that license available, I will use 'PF RPG' as you suggested.
Incidentally, the first "PF RPG" compliant version of The Only Sheet+ went online yesterday for testing purposes! Here is the main logo for this product.
If you have a 'list' of people to contact regarding license, I certainly would like to be part of it and work with you guys to help grow PF into a great RPG. TOS+ is most likely one of the most powerful tool which will be available for PF RPG.

Finished adjusting the interface. Added tons of options like control-drag, camera-locking, most of the 3.0 SRD monsters (with some difficulties in face/reach) and the first flags (new units deploy around home flags).
Going to test it tonight. If it runs well, I'll start into skills, feats and movement next week.

Is this project of yours still in development, or has it been scrapped?
And are you aware that there are already over 40 such programs already available? But only a couple are in 3D, like yours. Still, it might be worth looking at some of these if you need ideas.

Yes, I am certainly still developping it. That list you posted must be well-maintained because my project is already in it.
Development was slowed because I decided to go back and make it customizeable. Now a programmer can swap out the character sheet because it's been moved out to a dll (source included). Monsters are being redone by hand to improve integration so that Qex will be able to tack classes and items on them.
I'll still get a v1.0 out in time for GenCon
