And I have boiling oil.

Interesting...

I'm not even really a big part of this community, for all I do is lurk, but these guys on those links up above seriously have some issues that need to be worked out.

I've been a teacher for 13 years. I've dealt with a lot of juvenile behaviour. Never once have I met a teenager who couldn't led to focus on the good they can do to the point where they ceased to have time for causing trouble.

Wow.

Nice place they have there. Given the discussion over there, it really makes me wonder why they have the least interest in PF, given that they’ve already written it off as crap, and all have ~better~ fixes to make 3.5 ~work~ anyway. Why not just use those?

Hehe. I like how Frank is their king. That’s funny. Ooops! Now I’m talking about him too!

"OOooo! Look! We can curse on the boards and be as vulgar as we want and nobody cares! Since I can I may as well toss 30 profanities into every post.....it makes me look tough and grown-up."

What a bunch of pathetic idiots. "Oh Please Mr. King Trollman, you have to come back to Paizo. You're our only hope."
Pathetic. No wonder those guys have such big egos, everyone around them is stroking them.

EDITED FOR OVERSNARKINESS

It's funny I had a friend wayyyyyyy back in the day who HATED the mechanics of AD&D so he spent months working up his own rules system that would "better simulate everything." He unveiled it and we broke it in five minutes flat. To this day I still laugh when I recall the absolute look of rage and bafflement on his face when his rules broke down. That incident taught me a valuable lesson. It's not the rules system, but the storytelling itself that is the real important issue.

If I had a group of players who trusted me implicitly I would have them roll blind, not even knowing their stats, and just give them the storyline. That's unfortunately too drastic for most people. I can work with any set of rules, the real fun of it for me at least is the story. If ever I want a complex set of rules my WoW account is still open. Even they have to drop their servers every couple of weeks to plug all the bugs and exploits people find.

There's so many things I want to say, but I won't.

Please ladies and gentlemen, let us all try and drop the b~!+~*~*. It's hard. Really, I know it is. I've written and deleted so many posts lately that I'm confused what I've said and what I just said to myself. There is enough of this negativity floating around as it is.

Hell, there is more than one thread that I could have posted this on, and that's sad.

Yeah man, you're right. I'm trying to be funny, but given the general context of things around here at the moment, its not that funny. I'll delete my posts.

It's not going to stop, though is it? I'd like to contribute to the Pathfinder game but it is getting increasingly difficult to go anywhere near there without seeing some post that just boils my blood -- "literally" (right Sebastian?). I feel like if I don't post then they win. If I do post it's either to defend something/someone or to show how rude and/or idiotic a post was. Neither are really what I would rather be doing.

How do you "turn off" the idiocy of arrogant XXXXXXXXXXXXXX?

There!

It's just that easy to turn a knitted brow into a big ol' smile.

While doing a couple chores around the house, after posting that, I was thinking, "Man, that might not come off right." Then I thought that I could offer up my services to be wrong, because apparently there are a lot of folks on the boards that just want someone to be wrong. I'll gladly give that gift.

One of the things that always bugged me about people who claim that they don't care what other people think about them is that they believe that this attitude gives them a full license to act like an ego-driven sociopath. I don't like arguing with people and generally will let them "be right" if that's what they really want. I'll put myself out there as the idiot.

Crap, I broke my rule.

I liked the ones where they cut and paste their 4th grade posts over here, so they can brag about it over there. If I were to have that big of an attitude problem I would at least change my alias. I must admit to getting that worked up on these boards once, but never over a game. However I had the good sencse to recognize when I was getting to be a jerk and try to steer the conversation to a more civil place. When that didn't work, I reported myself and asked that the thread be locked. Those guys definately need to spend some time in an RTC learning healthy coping skills.

I have to clean my computer on a regular basis from the blood squirting out of my eyes.

Edit: Of course us sitting around here badmouthing the people who we feel make the boards uncivil, doesn't make it any more civil.

I didn't say that you'd always be right, just that I'm willing to be wrong. ;) Wait! You're right.

I knew that'd blow up in my face.

I've heard that there's a website where trolls do just that... cut and paste examples of their trolling for the delight of thier worthless peers, and they try and see how many people they can get to crack and get angry, and then how long they can keep an angry person arguing with them. Interesting idea of fun and accomplishment, eh?
