Does anyone have any sensible rules on this? I read the old 3.5 Complete Adventurer and thought is was ridiculous! You'd be lucky to produce a half decent poison in 1 week of brewing, by hey I can knock up a magic item worth over 5000 gold in the same time!
So my group is thinking about cost, if you have to go out and buy the ingredients or if you happen to have just killed a spider you remove the poison sacks thus giving yo the ingredient. So there should be a price difference.
Base Poison DC in hours per dose. Success is Alchemy Check + Poison Master modifier versus base Poison DC to produce a dose. 16 hours day max. Cost equals half retail or if you have the item or can find it quarter cost.
Poison master comes from the PF Gazeteer.
