Skilled or Adaptability?

Ability Scores and Races

First off, I like the new races and associated rules overall. I just want to make one small comment:
I find it a bit odd that Humans get an ability called "Skilled", which gives them more skill points, and Half-Elves get an ability called "Adaptability", which grants the Skill Focus feat.

More skill points means having ranks in more skills (since you can't exceed your level in ranks), which makes you more adaptable and flexible. Skill focus makes you better at a single skill, not adaptable. I'm not disagreeing with the mechanics, but I've always felt the names should be switched.

I posted something similar back in the Alphas but no one seems to have picked up on it. I agree 100%; the mechanics are fine but the names of the abilities should be swapped - humans should still have more skill points, but it should be called "Adaptable" and half-elves should still get Skill Focus, but it should be called "Skilled."

Thanks for bringing this up again.

I concur. Makes sense, doesn't change anything too much.

Liberty's Edge

both ways make sense

Daptability is because as a half-breed you are able to adapt to your habitat, becoming quite better in something that helps you to survive

Skilled... well just have lots of skills

whichever is left i am fine with it, i like both features
